#ThrowbackThursday

I was cleaning out my closet the other day, and guess what I found? My high school prom dress!

My mom visited the Philippines and bought this there. My great-aunt customized it to my measurements and added the embellishment. She was a great seamstress. Sigh....brings back so many memories. (Unfortunately, I can't find a pic of me actually in the prom, but it's ok. You're not missing much:P)

That is so awesome Emmy! Pretty dress! I love the details in the front and how it criss crosses in the back. My grandmother sewed. She made my communion dress and other things. I sold my prom dress! LOL I still have pictures. But what I'm jealous of is you can fit in yours! There's no way in hell I would fit in mine today. I was super skinny then! Thanks for sharing this.

For our own reasons, Daisy and I never got to go to our proms. We were in different grades, different schools, and never met until we were in our early 20's. I'm not bitter about it.
Beautiful! It's so sweet that your family was involved with the dress :)

Wow, omg! I already gave away my dress from graduation night because I knew I wouldn't wear it again. But I am sure if my family had been so involved in it I would have kept it too.

Awww, and it still fits!
What a lovely dress, and I like that your mom got it for you and your great aunt customized it. There is no way I would still fit into my dress!
