New in...some K-beauty stuff

You guys, my love for the Korean show Descendants of the Sun has led me down the rabbit hole of Korean skin care after drooling over the flawless skin of all the actors and actresses on that show. I know, I know...I'm 10 years behind this trend, but better late than never, right?

So, I've always double-cleansed, but have tried using sheet masks just recently and I love it! I'm lucky enough to live not too far from Pacific Mall, which makes it easy to get Asian goodies.

Then, I got The Little Book of Skin Care by Charlotte Cho, and I became obsessed with the whole Korean routine! This book is well-written, and I learned more about the famous "10 steps". I also love how it's part travelogue, where the author discusses some aspects of the Korean culture in a very light-hearted way. I highly recommend this book (I even have this downloaded on my phone so I can read it anytime.)

such cute illustrations

And so, this is what happened...a stop at The Face Shop. Its stores are literally everywhere in my area, and I can't believe I've never gone in one before. Got such great service over there. I came in just to buy sheet masks, and ended up getting these...

The Therapy set

More sheet masks. The 3-step mask on the right is a freebie.
...and so, thought I'd share this video that YouTube beauty vlogger Meejmuse (Jen) did of makeup shopping in Korea. I want to go there now!

What can I say? I'm hooked!
What have you bought lately? Do you do the Korean skin care routine?

I always feel overwhelmed with big routines and am not even sure what half of these products are meant to do :D
Yes I'm all about K-skincare and have a multi-product routine developed over the years that I strictly follow. I became obsessed after watching my first K-drama years ago. Even the guys have incredible skin XD

So funny that you're watching RM. SJK was cute on there but he never really stood out much because the other personalities are so big. It was good training for him though. I've moved on to Signal to keep the DOTS withdrawal away. The SongSong's are like the cutest drunks ever. I loved how they had the same behaviour.

I don't really seek out Korean skin care products, but I do like a good face mask. I'm trying to do them more often (like on Sundays). And I do have a few Asian skin care products that are fun to use, like SK-II.

I never got into Asian skincare back when I was living in Malaysia and now all I want is Asian skincare and makeup but they are hard to get my hands on. Small town living...sigh. I do love THEFACESHOP, they have really good sheet mask and their curling mascara is the best!

I saw the first episode of season six. Not as much I expected to happened did. Ended too short.

I did expect Brienne to save Sansa and Theon. Never expected the sand snakes to kill Prince Doran and his son. I don't think Oberyn would have wanted that.

And wow at the Red Woman's real age.
Sheet masks are so fun! Ulta is starting to carry a nice selection, so I'm stocking up :)

I just bought and read that book not too long ago, too ;) I'm using it for ideas to make completely natural korean inspired products for my body care line and I've been testing some things from my local Korean store. I would love to live near Pacific Mall like you do, but maybe tha'd be detrimental to my bank account, haha.

I have used some Asian skincare mostly Korean and Japanese skincare brands, but only facial masks and some makeup. I am into sheet masks, so will have to look out for more like these. Have a great day Emmy.
Art Book For Foodies
I've tried Skin Food and Etude House. I love Asian skincare and would love to try more. Will definitely check out her channel Emmy! To shop there would be AMAZING!

Ampoules.. riiiight.. I'm lucky if I can remove my makeup, cleanse and put on moisturizer.. :D I have to admit though, I'm almost back to my initial pre-baby routine, I do have a bit more time on my hands now. I was recommended spf 50 from now on, I have been all of a sudden blessed with some hyperpigmentation. Yay.. not. I only have a Bb cream from the Korean range, Lioelle.
I remove my makeup with coconut oil and moisturize with the same stuff I've been using for ten years and use a pore strip on my nose a few times a week. Ok, I lied - sometimes I don't take the makeup off. It's erasing my art work! So hard!
