The one with the chukkas, and a #HarryPotterAndTheCursedChild review

These boots I've had for ages is one of those things that just gets better with age:) Even though it's summer, I don't mind wearing these at all. Very comfortable and versatile.

And now, a short review of Harry Potter And The Cursed Child....
So, were you able to get your hands on your copy and finished reading it?

This book was a quick read, mainly being it written as the script of the play now showing in London. Thus, most of the events that would have taken chapters to describe in a novel were written succinctly and very fast-paced. (I find it hilarious that people didn't know this before buying the book! Wuttt?!?! It was clearly stated in the description that it's the SCRIPT!)

Did I love the book? Yes and no. Yes, because the story was great. There was a lot of action, a lot of funny moments (mostly with Ron) and a lot of poignant ones as well. Yes....certain parts made me cry. I didn't think a Harry Potter book could still touch me the same way as reading the original seven books did, but I think this just shows how this script lived up to the whole spirit of Harry Potter universe. The ending of Part One: brilliant!

No, for the reasons that it was quick read. I would have loved for The Cursed Child to be an actual full-blown book, filled with details and description of the characters and the events. It could have been a 5000-page book...fans would've been happy! Being bound by the short time line of a play, there really was no chance to fully delve into the main characters Albus and Scorpius, and show in great details the shenanigans they got into. This book is what the HP movies are for me: a great interpretation but not the complete package. (Don't get me wrong. I loved the movies, but we all know that many aspects of the books were omitted in films due to time constraints.)

I do understand how lucky we are as HP fans to even have this book, and indeed, I am grateful for that. Alas, it saddens me that this is truly the end, as JK Rowling stated she is done with Harry Potter after this:'( I will be re-reading these books as long as I can, to hold on to the magical world of Hogwarts and Harry, Ron and Hermione.

I love everything and anything Harry Potter but my husband calls me a geek. LOL! I have seen this book but have yet to get my hands on it, definitely a must buy despite it being a short read.

How long is it? I've been hearing the hype around this. Luckily, there are so many other worlds to explore. Check Daniel O'Malley's stuff!

I love your shoes, I agree they are the kind of shoes that look better with time! On the other hand I'm not a fan of Harry Potter's :-) have a great weekend bunny!
I still have to make my way through the other Harry Potter books before I can even think about this one. This sounds like it does a good job of filling the void for HP fans. We used to call those desert boots! They're definitely a classic :)

JCW was definitely the highlight of The Healer. The mystery was somewhat interesting but they really could've done a better job with it. Some of the cast was a little weak. I hated the old guy who played the present day version of the older brother - so creepy and he was so off. Ahjumma was daebak though. When I first read about W, I actually thought could picture him as the male lead. I don't think it would've worked out with his schedule though and yes I agree he would've been awesome. JCW just accepted a new revenge drama (my least favorite genre) and Yoona (bleh) is in talks as the female lead. if she accepts that' s a definite pass for me. If you're in the mood for another crime series, I'd recommend - Ten (https://www.viki.com/tv/6035c-ten?locale=en) It's a little gruesome but the writing and acting was solid. The Woman Who Wants to Marry is another one I loved - it's got some romance but what I loved about it was the friendships and humor (https://www.viki.com/tv/6035c-ten?locale=en).

The boots are so cute!
I have to say, even though I watched the movies, I was never a big Harry Potter fan when it comes to the books :)

I've never heard of Chukkas but they suit you. If I ever wear boots I wear Doc Martins or Timberlands.
I love your shoes! I had a pair of bucks that color and wore them out. LOL I also like your shorts Emmy. I have a pair of jeans that color. The color looks great on you. I had to laugh at your comment! So many, thought it was a book and not a script. They were so disappointed. I wish it was a book also. Her storytelling was always so magical. It made you imagine & dream! I hope the play is good and makes it around the world. Would love to see.

I'm not a big HP fan, but I do love these boots. You look great doll!
I dunno, I used to be a Potter fan but I'm just not into it anymore. I think it's because my friend and her husband went through a teeerible Harry Potter obsession phase a few years ago and it just turned me off to all of it. They do that every time a new popular series of anything comes out. It's pretty annoying and makes me want to stay away from everything they like.

I haven't read it, but I know the story, so that's good enough for me. I wish it would have been a book too!

Love the shorts! I should maybe buy a pair or two for our next holiday in September. Weather's been very moody here, unlike in Madrid, where we roasted at 40 degrees C.
