 I try not to go shopping for clothes nowadays, but my husband saw this spring coat and he said it's so me, so who am I to argue? Bwahaha Look how happy I was when I got the coat:D One detail I love about this coat is that aside from the normal pockets outside, it also has inside pockets! Have you bought anything recently?

 We just celebrated my eldest's 19th birthday....19th!!! Aaaaaaaaah...my little ones...not so little anymore. Well...they haven't been little in awhile now but I'm in the land of denial...huhuhu How was your weekend?

 I posted on Twitter last year how a friend of mine who works in a leather company told me that her manager was trying to get rid of extra stuff and scraps they had lying around. She asked if I wanted some. I never said "yes" so fast in my life! Well, it turned out that the extra stuff they had meant two trips to the warehouse, with our van fully loaded! I felt like I hit the jackpot, and so grateful to have such people in my life. These two pics are about half of the stuff they gave me. Anyhoo, I finally decided to make some stuff with these treasures:) First make, a basic leather tote bag.  As you can see, it's a pretty big bag, which meant it can fit all my stuff!  Happy Lunar New Year, everyone! Admittedly, the weekend had been busy for us in terms of extracurricular activities and not really New Year stuff, so much so that my daughter and I missed the Chinese New Year Dinner....wut?!?! I know, I know...but she had a lifeguarding class she couldn't miss:( ( My hubby and 2 sons were able to make it though, so yay!) Anyhoo, we were still able to go out quickly for lunch, so I thought I'd just share these pics.:) There were red lights moving all over when I took this pic...hence, the weird spot on my daughter's face...LOLZ

 This year, I promised myself I would read more. I used to be a voracious reader, and would love to go back to that:) Fun fact: My major in university was International Studies, but most of my electives were English Literature classes. Guess what? Those were the classes I really did well in....LOLZ What I just finished: Finished The House of Leaves by Mark Danielewski and finished re-reading Bird by Bird by Anne Lamott. Both are books I really love and give 5 stars out of 5. Currently reading: re-reading The Edible Woman by Margaret Atwood. Read this a few times years ago (from the library), and finally bought my own copy reading Chuck Palahniuk's Consider This. Loving this so far.
