Animal Instinct

Anything with animals or animal-print can only be good, right? :)

Happy Tuesday, everyone:) Yesterday was such a drag, so I'm hoping the rest of the week goes great:P

Wearing my well-worn boots...perfect for trampling around in the dirt:) If I ever go to a music festival like Coachella, these babies are going with me. (P.S. I'm always in awe of celebrities running around in the mud with their designer shoes!)

How is your weekend going?

Obsession #21

This is such a beautiful and classic bag, and the colour is just perfect.

What are you obsessing over lately?

Some bright colours for spring....:)

Happy Hump Day, everyone:)

"Is it my turn?"

My middle child had his First Communion yesterday. This is one of the most important events in our religion, so to celebrate, we had a small luncheon at home before the actual mass. (To see my eldest's First Communion last year, click here.)

Just thought I'd share some pics:)

 How was your weekend?

I have errands to do, So I better be on my way. I will bid you adieu, Because I need to get them done today. :)

Have a great weekend, everyone:) Any plans?

New in...born to be wild!

Thank you to my dear husband for this lovely birthday gift:)

I honestly think everyone should have one leather jacket, no matter how old you are or what you do for a living. It's a "forever" piece that will always look timeless, and just gets better with age.

What is that one staple you guys think everyone should have?

When tragedy strikes....

Our thoughts and prayers to everyone affected by what happened yesterday in Boston, Massachusetts, USA....

With everything that is going on around the world, it is important that we all stand together as a community, now more than ever. Let us hope that peace prevails.

Currently Loving #10

It's a mixed bag, everyone:)

1) I had my birthday the first week of April, and this was the cake I requested- Caramel Crunch. If you guys have not had this, you are missing out! Best.Cake.Ever. Thank you to my sister-in-law, L, for buying this:)

2) Pixi Beauty Bronze Sculpt Trio This is great for contouring and highlighting, and also very pigmented. I've been using this a lot, and have barely made a dent.
3) Worwood's The Complete Book of Essential Oils and Aromatherapy I've been interested in aromatherapy since about 2001, and have read many books on the topic. To this day, this book is still the bible when it comes to the subject. It's very detailed and has great non-toxic recipes for almost everything you need around the house. I've been using this book a lot again lately:) (Suggestion: Lavender oil should be in everyone's house.) 4) Yankee Candles
I just recently started buying them, and I'm obsessed. (Yes. I know I'm behind the times.:P)

5) Thi…

Spring showers

Because we have been complaining over here that spring is taking its time, Mother Nature listened and brought in the rain....but at least, for now, I can wear my lighter jacket (although I think it may get cold again the next few days...sigh).

Wishing you all a great Hump Day, filled with sunshine and butterflies...heehee....

Happy Monday, y'all:)

The perfect nude

If you love (or even just slightly interested in) makeup, then you'll understand when I say that the quest for the perfect nude lipstick can seem like an uphill battle most days. Finding that illusive beauty item that will suit your complexion and not look like a dead person seem so hard. The only real solution is to try them out in person, and to keep trying until you find THE ONE.

For the longest time, my perfect nude lipstick has been MAC's Fresh Brew. I was obsessed with this lipstick that it felt like cheating when I would try to find another one.

Alas, I think Fresh Brew has been replaced not just by one but by two lipsticks, and cheap ones at that!
These Essence lipsticks cost $2.49 Cdn each...awesome, right? Best of all, they have a creamy texture, and does not have a funky taste which some brands unfortunately have.

To add a bit more shine, I put on top this Essence gloss in Nude Kiss, which I believe costs $2.99Cdn.

Essence is a German brand, but you can find them in …

Viva México

The colour of this top reminds me of Mexican ponchos, and who doesn't like ponchos? :D

Spring has been missing for a couple of days. I hope it appears soon...soon as in today! :P Have a fab Thursday, everyone:)

"The sun was warm but the wind was chill.
You know how it is with an April day.
When the sun is out and the wind is still,
You're one month on in the middle of May.
But if you so much as dare to speak,
a cloud come over the sunlit arch,
And wind comes off a frozen peak,
And you're two months back in the middle of March."
-  Robert Frost, Two Tramps in Mud Time, 1926

Have a great Tuesday, everyone! Are you glad it's finally April? :)
