Size up

Sooo...when I sewed this dress in 2016, it was one size too small. I made the mistake of thinking the finished measurements on the pattern envelope would fit me fine, but it ended up being too tight. I still wore this dress a few times though coz I do love the style...great for casual outings, you know?

Well, now...I think it's really time to make another one, and the right size at that. I would like to think that it's just the dress shrinking but no...I'm sure it's all the eating I've done over Christmas and Chinese New Year. I'm pretty sure that if I sneeze while wearing this dress, I'll probably be like Incredible Hulk and break all the seams...ahem.

Or I can also just try to lose the weight...huhuhu

Onward and upward!!!

Video alert: Some art stuff

Happy Friday, everyone! I thought I'd do something different and post a video of me doing a quick flip through of two art books I've been loving lately. It's short...only about 4 minutes:D

Not totally hate

I'm gonna make a confession now, you guys. When I colour my hair, I tend to hate the shade about five seconds later. Out of all the colours I've tried, however, this Hot Hot Pink by Manic Panic is one of my faves (along with Atomic Turquoise). It washes out super fast though, but I guess with colours this bright, that's ok.
A lot of people I meet for the for first time always think I'm a hair stylist. TBH, the pros would probably cringe on how I do my hair, which is why I colour it myself:D

On another note, it's my eldest son's birthday today! Happy Birthday, J. XOXO

He's a teenager now....huhuhu...time sure flies by. He was about 8 or 9 in the pic below and now, he's taller than I am!

He's been through a lot, being born with a lot of health issues such as cleft lip and palate, but he's never complained despite having had about 5 surgeries (with one more major one in the future) and countless hours of speech therapy. So proud of him:')

Kung Hei Fat Choi 2018

Wishing all of you a Happy Chinese New Year! Much love from my family to yours:)

Olympic Fever

It's that time of the year, you guys. The Winter Olympics is well underway, and this is always a time of great excitement for us Canadians.

What better way to celebrate than to be sporting these hoodies? I wear this every time the Olympics is on.

Are you guys watching the Winter Olympics?

Obsession #42

So, guys, goop finally ships to Canada....something I've been wanting for awhile, but unfortunately not so good for the wallet...ahem....

Stuff I'm really digging over there:
(all images from the goop shop site)

What have you been obsessing over lately?

Another outfit?'s a #TideAd

The best thing about the Super Bowl is always the ads (and maybe the Half Time show).

Did you guys see the David Harbour one? My clothes in this post have no stains...ergo, it's a Tide ad.

I know these hoodies are meant for the summer...oh, well....
In case you haven't seen the ad....

More of the same

Another cropped top has cropped up....and pink! Pink everywhere! Bwahaha!

Out and about:
For those of you who have been reading my blog for awhile, you might remember that I have undertaken the Master Hand Knitting certification. I was on the last level (Level 3) but put it on hold for more than a year to work on personal projects.

I have decided to start working on it again, and hopefully get my certification by 2019. Thank you to my husband and a friend who pushed me to work on it. "So near, yet so far!"

Wish me luck, you guys!
