I'm such a ding-a-ling. I've had this dress for years, and never realized that the blue is graduated. I bought it because of the stripes, and I'm a sucker for stripes! Old Navy dress, Jolie cardi from Aritzia, no-name leggings from Winners my beaten-up H by Hudson booties (PS: I don't know how that white paint got there.) Have a great weekend, everyone:) Anything planned?

Spring showers

These were taken when it was raining and windy the whole day. The crazy thing was we actually had snow overnight! In late April! Craziness! Anyhoo, one good thing about rainy days is that it's a good excuse to eat hot food, so hubby suggested Thai for lunch. We ended up going to this restaurant in a dinky plaza that we've never been to before, and the food was amazing! YAY! One of the best pad thai I've had. She liked the food:P What I wore: H&M faux leather jacket, Talula top from Aritzia, pants from Target, Ugg Australia cardi boots, backpack on my shoulder Do you guys like Thai food? And how's the weather where you are?

Yesterday, our eldest son had another milestone. He had his First Communion celebration...yay! It was a long preparation that started in September of last year, and I must say that I am glad he was finally able to participate in this religious rite. The meetings were only once a month, but with everyone's schedule, these days meant a lot of co-ordination! I ended up making lunch for everyone and asked the guests to bring desserts and drinks (although sis did bring the noodles) before we all headed for church. Here are some pics of the day:) "All these for me?" What I wore: gifted Nicole Miller cardi, no-name dress I've had forever, Aldo Calwell heels Procession after the mass Look at the paparazzi! It was crazy after the ceremony! Can you see my precious? Heehee... We do this all over again next year for our middle child:P Anyways, Happy Monday! How was everyone's weekend?

But you're not an Olsen!

I've always liked oversized sunglasses, but because of my round face, I never thought it would look proportionate to my face. Well, the day came when I lost my prescription glasses and had to get a new pair. After picking up my frames, my husband said I should get two, as I tend to lose them. Being the practical person that I am, I said, "No, my dear. I would like to get a pair of oversized sunnies." And with that, I would like to introduce you to my new fave pair:) Lotto sunglasses The good thing is that they hide a lot of sins. Like a hat, right? I mean, if I'm in a rush, I just wear these and not have to worry about not having makeup on...I think...  And of course, my little one likes them too. She's already fighting me for accessories...sigh... I just read this great feature on the May 2012 issue of People Stylewatch Magazine that has great tips on picking up the right pair of sunnies for your face shape: What is your

I had to cut off the neck line of this sweater, as my neck is too thick and it felt like the sweater was strangling me every time I wore it before. Now, I'm really feelin' the 80's vibe:P Banana Republic fleece sweater, American Eagle pants, Roots shoes I have decided to wear my jeans rolled up like this all the time now, as inspired by Rosie from my last post :P super comfy! HAPPY THURSDAY, EVERYONE:)

I went to our local H&M the day these trousers came out, and of course, just my luck, the store was already sold out:( Thank God my eldest sister was kind enough to look for it in her local store, where she had to ask the salesperson to take off the last one in my size on the mannequin! She ended up giving it to me as a part of my birthday gift. Thank you, sis! I love them and I'll probably be wearing them to death! vintage blazer, Theory shirt, H&M trousers, DV by Dolce Vita boots My daughter was happy too I got the pants:) Happy Sunday, everyone:)

Broke a$$

Have you guys seen this show called The Shahs of Sunset? Well, just when you think reality-TV can't get any lower than Jersey Shore or Keeping Up With The Kardashians, this show comes out to show you otherwise. Anyhoo, on the season premiere, one of the girls said that saying someone is wearing H&M in their group is calling him/her "broke ass", which is apparently really bad.. You know what? I never knew being "broke" is such an insult nowadays. Oh, the horror! And how silly of us to like H&M and for thinking that cheap pricing is a good thing! no-name coat, H&M shirt, Talula leggings from Aritzia, MICHAEL Michael Kors rain boots "Oh please...don't call me Broke Ass!" I don't know why I watched the show. I guess it's like seeing an accident happen in front of you...you just can't look away... Have you guys seen it? What do you think? Are you a fan of reality-TV (and I use the term "reality" loosely) suc

Murad

I usually buy skin care items from the drugstore. I'm a big fan of Neutrogena, Cetaphil and Phisoderm when it comes to facial stuff. Thus, this recent purchase from Sephora is definitely something new for me. I've seen the Murad infomercial a lot, and have always been curious to try the products. As someone with sensitive skin, I'm really prone to breaking out when something  does not agree with me. So, I thought a cleanser is a safe-enough option. At least, the product would not stay too long on my skin, right? Well, after only using it a few times, I must say I really really love this product. My skin felt so soft and smooth after using it, which is not something I'm used to:P It has not irritated my skin so far, and I do feel that it really cleanses without stripping my skin of the oils. I also love the feel of the tiny jojoba beads. To conclude: Two thumbs up, and I definitely recommend this cleanser:) Can't wait to try the other products in the line.

Easter

Image
Being Catholics, Easter is a pretty big deal for the family. It's pretty much like the solemn version of Christmas, starting with Good Friday, and ending with a feast on Easter Sunday. Of course, for the kids, it's that time of the year when they're allowed to eat as much chocolate as they can...bwahaha! It's also one time of the year I really try to wear a "springy" colour, hence the pastel sweater:P H&M jacket, Jones New York sweater, Rampage skirt, Aldo heels My heels were sinking in the dirt...note to self: Don't wear heels in the backyard! Ready for the egg-hunting... And now, for the egg-painting... By the way, I mentioned back on this post  that I was giving up chocolate for Lent. Did I succeed, you might wonder? Well, yes and no. I had two setbacks: one when I ate my daughter's white chocolate leftover without even thinking about it, and second time when I ate an Oreo parfait  from Wendy's. CURSE YOU, OREO PARFAIT! I h

This is a very basic outfit, but one of my faves, just because everything is comfortable. It also falls under my criteria of "can I run in this if I'm in a disaster movie?" ...teehee....I'm such a nerd! no-name cardi I've had forever, Hot Topic sweater, Coincidence and Chance pants from Urban Outfitters, Doc Martens boots Have a great weekend, everyone, and Advanced Happy Easter as well! Any plans?
