I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas/holiday:) It's always a busy time for our family, so I thought I'd just share some of the stuff we did. (All shots were taken with my phone coz I was too lazy to take out my camera...sigh....) Christmas Eve (after church) Christmas Day Who is that behind the ornament? Hahahaha Boxing Day (doing our annual tradition of going to Vaughan Mills ) The little one was pooped out halfway through. We were there by 7am and the mall was already busy! More eating.... Let me know what you guys have been up to lately. Anyhoo, this will be my last post for the year, so I just want to wish all of you a Happy New Year!

For you Harry Potter fans out there, have you been sorted at Pottermore?  I am in the Gryffindor house, so of course, when we went to the Wizarding World at Universal Orlando, I had to get Gryffindor stuff coz that's the rule, right? old Nicole Miller cardigan with Gryffindor shirt from Universal Orlando, Habitual jeans, Ugg Australia boots Honestly, though, I was hoping I'd be in Slytherin, but oh well.... How about you?

Random stuff I've been loving lately:)  1) Mittens I knitted This is the latest item I've finished knitting...the Jazz Hands mittens (pattern by Kate Davies). If you knit, I highly recommend this pattern. Very straightforward and easy to follow. I bought the kit from the designer's website. It did take awhile for me to knit this just because of other projects in between. I'm so glad though that I finished this though just in time for the winter. Jazz Hands mittens  In progress 2) Korean drama Voice I've been on a good streak lately with the shows I've been watching, and this one was also another winner. I should say that this is quite more violent than the shows I usually watch, but guys, the cast is really good and the story line is compelling. The lead Jang Hyuk also reminds me of Cha Seung Won (who I'm kinda obsessed with:D). image from Dramafever.com 3) Neogen Green Tea Fresh Foam Cleanser When we were in Florida for our Disne

So....winter has truly arrived here. One good thing about the cold weather  and snow is that the leather jackets come out:) I know most peeps bust them out in fall, but I tend to wear them more when it's really cold outside. old Silence & Noise jacket and Evil Twin jeans from Urban Outfitters, ribbed turtleneck top from Winners, Vans sneakers  The funny thing is that in winter, I never stop wearing my tattered jeans...heh!

The shortall

This latest thing I sewed is not really appropriate for winter. I really wanted to make the overall version but I just wanted to use some leftover fabric I had, and I only had enough for this. Still...I really love how this turned out, and now, I can't wait for the warmer weather even more (even though winter is just really starting...sigh....). Shortall I made using the pattern McCalls 7547  My neighbours must have thought I was crazy when I was taking these pics, considering the weather. Hah!  In progress:

Product Rave: new Holy Grail

Guys, I've raved about RCMA foundation for forever. Since going to makeup school, this foundation has always been the one I always turn to, not just when I was working as a makeup artist but also for personal use. It's a full-coverage foundation (my preference), but you can easily thin it down. It will always be my #1. Alas, I can only get it in one store in Toronto (Hiscott's, which unfortunately is not downtown anymore so kinda hard for me to go to) or online, which can be a pain. I've been trying to find something similar to it that I can easily get. I do love MAC foundations, but unfortunately, the service I've gotten from them have been lacklustre.  I've tried a few other foundations, but they either broke me out or I didn't like the texture, or they're just too darn expensive (I'm looking at you, Tom Ford!). At last, however, I think I found the ONE. My new holy grail foundation: Make Up Forever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Stick Foundatio
