Feather and Fan

The latest sweater I knitted...
(I got the pattern from this book if you're interested.)

Wishing you all a lovely weekend:)

New in...obsessed much?

Because we all need a little Sherlock in our life, right?

(all from Hot Topic)

The little joys of life

1)I can finally wear this jacket I got on sale last year.
2)I spun my first yarn! Totally wonky, but it's a start:)
(In case you're interested, I got my supplies from Cheri at Acme Fibres. I always order from her. Highly recommend this online store.)

3)I can drink gallons of this, y'all!

4)Discovering old pics in the computer like these

5) Seeing your kid's smile

Hope you're all having a wonderful weekend.

Because winter came super early, I just thought this editorial with all these yummy sweaters is so appropriate:)

Are you enjoying winter wonderland where you are?

Getting my mojo back

I will's been hard to trying to get back into the swing of things. I've been in a funk lately. Honestly, this last half of the year has been quite a challenge. I've had days when I just didn't want to get out and see people (even more so than usual) that the hubby had to take over a lot of stuff. The not-so-good stuff seem just to keep on coming...sigh....

To help me get back into some sort of a functional state, these are the things that I've been doing lately.

1) Listening to Taylor Swift's new album 1989 over and over
Because the whole album is just darn good.

2) The Lord of the Rings marathon
Because it makes me think that, at least, I don't have the burden of Frodo and Sam....perspective, right?

 3) Binge-watching knitting podcasts while knitting
Because what else does a knitting-obsessed person like me would do?
I have also decided to learn to make my own yarn through drop spindling. It's pretty cool.

What are the things you do to make…

A short update

This is just a drive-by post to say thank you for all the well-wishes regarding my eldest son's surgery. I'm sorry I haven't been able to read your blog and comment. He's at home now, recovering, and blogging has taken a back seat. I hope you all understand.

He's still in a lot of pain, but relatively ok considering....Fingers crossed his road to recovery goes smoothly.

Thank you again, guys.

Knitterly fun, and a quick note

I still miss summer, but the good thing with the cool weather is that my knits can be out in full force.

I would also like to let you guys know I'll be away in the blogosphere for a short period beginning tomorrow, the reason I've briefly mentioned here. I'll be in Twitter and Instagram once in awhile, though, so I'll update there when I can.

See y'all soon.:)

Halloween 2014 (Picture-Heavy)

It was another great Halloween this year, despite the cold and rain:) Here are some pics taken. Enjoy:D

For those curious, my eldest's son costume is inspired by the anime TV series Attack On Titans.

Trick or treat!

One of our neighbours always do an awesome job every year decorating.

How was your Halloween?
