I'm actually looking at our pet turtle.

This is probably as close to colour blocking as I'll get, which was a trend I never fully embraced.

I hear you! Colour blocking is not really my thing and I think reserved for those who have the time to find what colours go well (or clash well) together!

The latest item I finished knitting: the Waiting For Rain shawl:) Love how this turned out, you guys:) The yarn was really lovely to work with (Kaleidoscope) and the pattern was easy to follow. Now that it's getting colder again, a knitted shawl is always handy to have:D It's just the right length, and it sits nicely on the shoulders. I know a lot of people don't like wearing leggings as pants. I'm not one of those people. (I do have a rule that the top has to be long enough to cover your butt.
