Handmade

Just wanna share a new addition to my wardrobe: a sweater I knitted, guys!

I started this on Jan 31st, and finished on Tuesday (Feb 18th). The pattern is from an Ann Budd book, which I love and highly recommend.

Here are the pieces before I sewed them together...
two sleeves, and the back and front pieces

Blocking them before sewing:

Being sewn together after knitting the neckband:

Finished product...yay!
worn with LEI jeans from Walmart and Topshop boots

It's by no means perfect, but am so happy how this turned out:) Will probably make them now in different colours, and for the whole family.

Have you guys created garments for yourself or loved ones?

  6. This is amazing Emmy! Usually when I think of homemade, handknitted jumpers I think of frumpy things that grannies knit but this is so cool and looks really expensive xxx

  11. I don't know if you could say this about a sweater, but it looks yummy! I wish I could but I don't make my own clothes, so afraid they would fall apart while I was wearing them :-)
