Hourglass

I've heard about Hourglass and its Ambient Lighting powders for a long time now, but have resisted trying them out. However, I finally gave in after seeing these old videos by Wayne Goss and MakeupbyTiffanyD.

I ended up ordering the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette.
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette
The shades in the palette are: Dim Light, Incandescent Light, and Radiant Light. Individually, the powders are $55Cdn, but the whole palette is $70Cdn so I thought it would be a better deal just to get the palette.
So, did these live up to the hype? A big hellz yah! I totally get it now....why everyone has been raving about these. I use these all over my face as a final step (combining two shades together depending on what I feel like mixing up), and it gives such a nice finish. I find it does give a candlelight glow, you guys. I thought at first that these might be glittery and more for highlighting, but not at all.

And so, because I fell in love with this palette, I decided to give the Hourglass Ambient Strobe Lighting Blush Palette a go as well. I was going to order it online, but it was sold out. I went to my local Sephora just in case they would have it there, and lo and behold, new stock just came in!

The shades included are: Incandescent Electra, Brilliant Nude and Euphoric Fusion.
Guess what? I love these as much as the Ambient Lighting powders! Every single shade looks great (but I also mix two shades together like I do for the Ambient Lighting powders), and these blushes are pigmented as well. I don't find these glittery at all, even though they look kinda sparkly in the palette.

So...all in all, am very happy with these two palettes. Worth every penny for sure! If you still need to do some Christmas shopping and need ideas for the beauty junkie in your life, I highly recommend these two products.

On that note, just want to wish all of you Happy Holidays/Merry Christmas!
Much love, from my family to yours.:)

I have that palette! I have one blush so I don't have the blush palette but they are so pretty. Merry Christmas to you and your cuties!
What nice presents for yourself Emmy! Good to hear that you love them too! I have the Diffused Light powder compact but I stopped using it awhile ago because I wanted to go full on chok chok and gave up powder. Maybe I'll pull it out agin though.

I'm so happy to hear that you find TWTWB as riveting as I did. I was watching it when it was airing so you can imagine how torturous the wait for new eps. was every week. At least you have the option to marathon. You know I love my sleep but that is one drama I would gladly given some up for. SHK's beauty was seriously other worldly there and I loved her performance and JIS was no slouch either. I forgot what ep it was but there is shot on a snowy mountain. Hands down the most stunning scene in a K-drama ever. You'll know it when you see it ;) No need to thank me! Just seeing how much enjoyment a show brings you or a product that works out is thanks enough for me seriously ^o^ And I love having someone else to spazz with now too ;p

Merry Christmas to you and your family! May your holidays be joyous, warm and safe! xo

Emmy, I've always been interested in the brand but never tried them. So this is good to know. I don't have a Sephora near me, but will have to go in and try them one day. They sound awesome.
