Some weekend shenanigans

 Just gonna share some stuff we did this weekend:)

1) Had my birthday a few days ago, so we had a small celebration at home this weekend.


2) Went to a mall for some window shopping:)



3) Went to a music store so my daughter can try some guitars. (She's in a band btw!)

4) Tried making a classic martini for the first time for our book club meeting (but did use vodka instead of gin). Not a fan unfortunately.

Happy belated birthday! Dallas is all agog with the eclipse today - we have major highways shut down because of it. Vodka martinis are my favourite - try it without the vermouth next time!

Awesome! Happy Birthday! Such a great celebration! I never liked martinis but I make a pretty good margarita! Love the photos of you guys at the mall. All the best to your book group!

Happy happy belated birthday Emmy!!!! Looks like a daebak celebration. Of course your Mini Me is in a band. She is so musically talented :D I never got the hype of martinis but since my husband and I don't drink, we don't really get the allure of alcohol either LOL. Went to the Poster Museum, watched baseball and took a few walks this past weekend. Pretty chill stuff.

The latest item I finished knitting: the Waiting For Rain shawl:) Love how this turned out, you guys:) The yarn was really lovely to work with (Kaleidoscope) and the pattern was easy to follow. Now that it's getting colder again, a knitted shawl is always handy to have:D It's just the right length, and it sits nicely on the shoulders. I know a lot of people don't like wearing leggings as pants. I'm not one of those people. (I do have a rule that the top has to be long enough to cover your butt.
