Losing my mojo

I've been having a hard time getting motivated to post anything at all these days. I've deleted X on my phone, and am on Bluesky now, but even then, I don't really post much there. (I've stopped posting on Instagram and Facebook years ago, and don't have a TikTok/)

Even having a hard time posting consistently on my Art YouTube channel.

I do have a small Catholic YouTube channel, and another small  "fish" channel (and I use that term lightly coz I mostly post random stuff about our shubunkin goldfishes), but even then, these days, I just want to go "off the grid" :(

That is all.

I get it Emmy - take care of yourself and we'll be here for you!
Oh chingu, I totally get where you're coming from coming from. With the dumpster fire that the world is right now, it's kind of difficult to just keep posting away pretending that everything is fine. I'm still on Twitter but mostly because I'm part of a CC community there that shares valuable health information but I hardly post anymore. I mostly stay off the grid lately as well. Spend most of my time on Duolingo and organizing and selling off my stuff now. Hang in there Emmy <3

I've been thre before wanting to go "off the grid"

It's okay to take a step back and prioritize your well-being. There's no pressure to constantly create and share. Perhaps this is a time for you to recharge, explore other interests offline, or simply enjoy a quieter period.

If you eventually feel the urge to post again, it will come naturally. Don't feel obligated to force it. Your desire to disconnect might be a signal that you need to focus on yourself for a while, and that's perfectly valid.

It is understandable..but it is great that you post here with family happenings and sharing your creativity. I appreciate it so much. All the best to your holy week. Take care of you!
What a meaningful post. I completely understand what you mean. It really does feel like a struggle to get motivated lately. Maybe it is the world around us. I think it is wonderful that you deleted Twitter (I refuse to call it X haha) on your phone and have shifted away from different social media platforms. That is something I am wanting to do, but struggle with at the same time. Social media can be wonderful, but more often than not, it seems to be a destructive force. Going "off the grid" sounds so nice, especially given the realities of the world these days. It seems easier to find bits and pieces of happiness away from all of the noise. Sending you love. I hope you are able to find your motivation again, for whatever you choose to do <3

I feel you, social media is exhausting at times. I hate FB. I like IG but I do not like that it is owned by FB. I like the YT platform and long form content but I am getting ready to step away from YT. I HATE the alogrithm it is the WORST, absolutely the worst. I like TT but who knows what is going to happen with that...

I've been feeling burnt out as well.

I love Bluesky, under there under my author pen name Adam America
Totally get that—sometimes stepping back is exactly what we need. Your work still matters, even in the quiet. Wishing you peace and inspiration, wherever you are right now.

Wow, I had no idea you had so many channels. To be honest, it takes me a lot of strength to keep up with my social media. I actually only use two mainly now and even then it is soley for my side business (food and photography) I only post when I feel it can be educational and enlightening and entertaining for my readers. I wish we could just do away with social media sometimes, as it's become quite negative lately and so many people abuse it these days. I say, do what you can when you can and want to. <3 /M

Happy Mother's Day chingu! Bogoshipoyo! Hope you and the fam are doing well <3
Miss you babe and hope you're well <3 Can't believe it's almost summer already. I'm still in big time minimizing mode. We had our yard sale yesterday and I also recently joined a buy nothing group to give away stuff ;p We're currently watching Mercy For None with So Ji Sub (I think you like him right?) So violent but good.

Oh that's why I haven't seen you around Twitter. So many people have departed from there, from most social media platforms I find. It's so hard these days to keep up with everything. Especially when it feels like the world is going to shit. It's super hard to stay motivated too. I am the same as you. Lost motivation for the longest of times. I'm still on Twitter, though most days I wonder why?! I also have Bluesky, will need to look you up but I also don't go on there much either. I hope you are doing well Emmy.

I have no idea why it posted my comment above as anonymous! I really have been away from the blog world for too long hahaha!

Wishing you all the best. Take a break, recharge and then you can be back to what you were doing.
Chingu, thank you so much for stopping by and weighing in on my recent rant. I'm really glad to hear that your mental health has improved since you stopped interacting on social media and I hope you and the fam are well otherwise. I appreciate you sharing your thoughts and letting me know I'm not the only one who feels this way about people who act like everything is wonderful when everything literally is going to crap. I feel like I need to move up my exit plan y'know. If my blog wasn't also my business, I would leave SM too but unfollowing and ignoring most people has been working. I just post and leave LOL. Sending you much <3
Emmy! I was freaking out when you told me that you're rewatching Misaeng cause it's been on tv here and we've been catching it whenever we can. Such a classic! It still hits the same yet different at the same time but now I recognize way more actors. And I can't wait to hear what you think about The Glory. I want to rewatch it at some point because I feel like I might have a different perspective the 2nd time around. Love that your Mini Me is into the Asian dramas :D We're currently watching Good Boy which turned out to be a bit of a let down but well past the point of no return now. I'm currently serving jury duty for the next couple of weeks so I have a good excuse to be offline for a bit though I really wish it was for something more fun. Hope you guys are having an awesome summer so far <3
Chingu! Hope you're having a fun summer. I just survived 12 days of jury duty. It was super boring and I hated feeling like I was confined but now I'm enjoy sweet freedom again. Alas NYC has turned into a subtropical environment this summer and it's super gross.
Anyway I'm in complete agreement that Misaeng is also my fave slice of life K-drama and it really holds up even after so long. I might try to give Strangers From Hell another try but you know I'm such a fraidy cat and it's just so creepy. It's funny how Is Wan started off in all these innocent roles and now he's like totally in his villain era. We just finished Good Boy - don't bother. We started watching The Winning Try and it's actually kind of fun. I like the underdog plot.
Chingu, it took me awhile to get back to you because I injured my janky ankle again last week and have been dealing with that. Thankfully, it's not serious but it has sidelined me from things a bit.

I was sure glad that I was just an alternate juror because I heard that they deliberated for 5 days and the deadlock on 2 of the counts was not surprising at all given the evidence we heard. It was both interesting and boring at the same time. I nodded off a few times and I'm not the only one LOL ;p

I get your DD's love for Weak Class Hero. The first one was really good. The 2nd one not so much. Yaaas you're finally watching The Glory! Yeah the first episode was rough and it's so hard not to binge. My husband actually took the day off when they released the second part and we binged it. And I'm not usually a binge watcher. I don't now where you're at now but I think you will find the resolution to be satisfying because all the bullies get their just desserts. We need to talk more when you're finished with it.
Oh Emmy! I'm so glad to hear that your daughter and you finished The Glory and that you loved it as much as I did. The bullying was definitely really tough to watch but the payoff where each bully got properly punished was highly satisfying. Sometimes K-drama endings are such letdowns but the writing here was so well done. And the casting was perfect as well. There weren't any holes and everyone embodies their roles perfectly. I also really liked Yeom Hey Ran and Lee Do Hyun as her helper and executioner respectively. Not gonna lie, Dong Eun and Yeon Jin's husband had such great chemistry - that Wong Kar Wai inspired scene in the Go parlor - OMG! But really she had to end up with her executioner because he was truly devoted to her and that reveal of how he actually knew her before she knew him was like wow! Now that I'm talking about it, I think I want to watch this again ;p And yes her Fendi bag was TTDF :D.

We've gotten some cool weather in NYC this week and I don't mind it at all. I don't want summer to end yet but just so over the heat. I start PT for my ankle next week. Can't believe I'm going back again. Hope you're well chingu <3

Aw I totally get this sometimes it just feels like too much to keep up with everything online. Honestly, taking a break and going “off the grid” for a bit can be the best reset. Your creativity will come back when it’s ready, no pressure. And hey, even your little fish channel sounds adorable. I’d watch shubunkin updates any day.
