I'm walkin on sunshine....

Image
Now that the weather is getting warmer, it's been harder for people to #StayAtHome because of covid19. I get it. We all want to be out and about and go on with our lives. I myself still go out for quick walks for some fresh air (while keeping distance, of course). Hence, this outfit. (It forces me to get out of my jammies!) But you know what? The more people not follow the rules, the more people will get infected and the longer this self-quarantine will go on. Why don't we all try to be less selfish, k? Roots sweater, Love Child pants, Vans slip ons How are you all doing? As always, stay safe:)

The one with the chukkas, and a #HarryPotterAndTheCursedChild review

Image
These boots I've had for ages is one of those things that just gets better with age:) Even though it's summer, I don't mind wearing these at all. Very comfortable and versatile. Roots chukka boots with old Dynamite shirt from my mom and H&M shorts And now, a short review of Harry Potter And The Cursed Child.... So, were you able to get your hands on your copy and finished reading it? This book was a quick read, mainly being it written as the script of the play now showing in London. Thus, most of the events that would have taken chapters to describe in a novel were written succinctly and very fast-paced. (I find it hilarious that people didn't know this before buying the book! Wuttt?!?! It was clearly stated in the description that it's the SCRIPT!) Did I love the book? Yes and no . Yes , because the story was great. There was a lot of action, a lot of funny moments (mostly with Ron) and a lot of poignant ones as well. Yes....certain parts m...

Obsession #37

Image
Guys, I've been obsessing over this image since I saw it. It's from a sewing pattern. image from pinterest Although this is not normally my style, I'm really digging the look, especially the one with the boots. Hence, my new obsession over leather biker boots. My #1 pick: these ones from Timberland . Second choice: these ones from Roots. Third is also from Timberland. What's your current obsession?

It's like a sauna in here!

Another heat wave has hit the city. I don't know how I feel about it. I mean, it is officially summer so this should be expected. At the same time, there's something disturbing about walking out of the house and feeling like you're in an oven. H&M shirt and shorts, Roots chukka boots Anways...have a great weekend, everyone, and to my fellow Canucks, Advanced Happy Canada Day!

Noose

I had to cut off the neck line of this sweater, as my neck is too thick and it felt like the sweater was strangling me every time I wore it before. Now, I'm really feelin' the 80's vibe:P Banana Republic fleece sweater, American Eagle pants, Roots shoes I have decided to wear my jeans rolled up like this all the time now, as inspired by Rosie from my last post :P super comfy! HAPPY THURSDAY, EVERYONE:)

Morning routine

An advantage of having a uniform for the kids in school is that it takes away the hassle of thinking of what to wear. On that note, here I am with my standard leggings and loose top. Perhaps not very imaginative, but it gets us out of the house relatively quick. Here are some pics taken before I drove the kids to school. H&M jacket, Aritzia top, Walmart leggings, Roots chukka boots Love the flowers on these. Different than my usual black. Have a great weekend, everyone! And to my fellow Canucks, Advanced Happy Thanksgiving:)

Must-have

Image
Everyone should have a cardigan in her/his closet. A great basic. You can wear them any season. You can put them over a dress on a cool summer night. It's a cover-up for a crisp spring/fall weather. It's a great layering piece in the winter. Here I am wearing my favourite cardi: Roots cardigan and boots, H&M dress Here are the different ways to wear them (taken from the book Style Yourself): What is your favourite way to wear your cardigan?

Raindrops and roses...

Fall is definitely here...rain rain rain... Club Monaco rain coat, Hello Kitty shirt from Hot Topic, RW & Co skirt, Roots boots I have a confession...this rain coat is actually from the kids' collection. That's what happens when you stop growing at the age of 10. Just joking. I stopped growing at 11. Anyhoo, I've had this thing for so long that I think Club Monaco does not make children's clothes anymore. It was Picture Day in school today. This was my boys' practice shot: Have a great weekend, everyone!

Obsession #7

Image
As much as I like little delicate bags, I'm the type of person who's really rough with her bags and tend to carry a lot. Thus, this next obsession has one criteria. If I am a character in a Michael Bay movie (or at the very least, a Steven Spielberg adventure film), would this survive? Here are my lemmings (some new and some old) for what I call the "forever"bags... Roots Lauren bag (Image from canada.roots.com ) Roots Small School Bag in Norwegian (Image from canada.roots.com ) Roots Uptown satchel (Image from canada.roots.com ) Upla fisherman's satchel in Union Jack design (image from upla.fr ) Upla fisherman's satchel in Ruby leather (image from upla.fr ) Saddleback Medium Briefcase in Tobacco (image from saddlebackleather.com ) Saddleback Tote in Tobacco (image from saddlebackleather.com ) Cambridge Satchel Company leather bag with tartan pocket (image from asos.com ) Mulberry Bayswater (image from net-a-porter.com...

Just a day of running errands, so the outfit is very simple. top from Aritzia, American Eagle jeans, Roots chukka boots By the way, if you guys are SJP fans, I've updated this blog with more pics. Enjoy:) Have a great weekend! What do you guys have planned?

Wrap around

Image
I haven't worn this dress in sooo long, but I thought it might as well make an appearance before it gets really cold around here. Gap wrap around dress, Roots chukka boots, LV Speedy bag I got this cheap jacket when we went to the CNE  . How is the weather where you guys are?

I gave in!

I have no self-control whatsoever... Because of Obsession #5 , here is my new acquisition. Roots chukka boots They were on sale, with an extra $25 off, so I bit the bullet. Let me tell you...these boots are super fab! No break-in period. Sooooooo comfortable. What do you guys think? Of course, we had to get something for the little one too. Gap leopard toddler booties
