Happy Lunar New Year, everyone! Admittedly, the weekend had been busy for us in terms of extracurricular activities and not really New Year stuff, so much so that my daughter and I missed the Chinese New Year Dinner....wut?!?! I know, I know...but she had a lifeguarding class she couldn't miss:( ( My hubby and 2 sons were able to make it though, so yay!) Anyhoo, we were still able to go out quickly for lunch, so I thought I'd just share these pics.:) There were red lights moving all over when I took this pic...hence, the weird spot on my daughter's face...LOLZ

What have I been reading #3

This year, I promised myself I would read more. I used to be a voracious reader, and would love to go back to that:) Fun fact: My major in university was International Studies, but most of my electives were English Literature classes. Guess what? Those were the classes I really did well in....LOLZ What I just finished: Finished The House of Leaves by Mark Danielewski and finished re-reading Bird by Bird by Anne Lamott. Both are books I really love and give 5 stars out of 5. Currently reading: re-reading The Edible Woman by Margaret Atwood. Read this a few times years ago (from the library), and finally bought my own copy reading Chuck Palahniuk's Consider This. Loving this so far. My TBR for the next few months: S by JJ Abrams and Doug Durst Crime and Punishment (Dostoevsky) The Odyssey The Iliad Freedom by Jonathan Franzen A Moveable Feast (Hemingway)- re-read On Writing (Stephen King)- re-read Heartless (Marissa Meyer)- from my sis-in-law The Night Circus (Erin Morgenstern)- bou

There are three categories:  1) The best ones 2) The meh and 3) Waste of time  Buckle up!!! (all images from imdb.com) The best ones Crimes of the Future Very gory at some parts (very David Cronenberg). but such a great story and great cast. Last Night in Soho Loved everything about this movie, especially Thomasin McKenzie. Great plot. Morbius I'm probably the only person on earth who loved this movie. I thought Jared Leto did an ok job, and Matt Smith was super awesome as always. (He was also great in Last Night in Soho!) Midnight Club A slow-burn but oh so worth it. Even though this was described as horror, this is really not that scary, which was ok. Just a great series. Glass Onion Love love love. Funny and entertaining for sure, although Knives Out is still my fave out of the two. Everything Everywhere All At Once My middle ch
