 Every fall/winter, there's a pair of boots I seem to covet but have no intention of buying (hahaha). This season, it's the Brixton leather boots from Steve Madden. This has got to be one of my fave outfits to date. Not only did I make most of the pieces, the whole thing is just super comfy and I find I'm really digging this style of dressing lately. Plus, I may be obsessed with these boots. Old cardigan I knitted, Bantam Vest (dress version originally seen here ) I sewed, no-name leggings, Timberland boots Have you always had the same style, or are you more of a fashion chameleon?

I posted the obsession for these booties back in October , and guys, I'm happy to report I finally have them. These were the only thing I was looking for during Boxing Day, and guess what? Found them in a mall close by the day after, and they were on sale! Seriously...so so happy. Happy New Year to me....mwahaha! Most of the time, I put pictures like this.... old Hot Topic top and  LEI jeans, Blondo boots And you think, "Isn't it November in Canada? They must be having nice weather over there." Guys, this picture is a lie! Being from a country with bitter winters, I just get sick & tired of seeing myself in jackets all the time . Hence, for the blog, I do this. This is really what I'm usually wearing as soon as the weather gets cooler: As bloggers, we have control over what we put out. I choose to blog mostly about superficial things in life and the happy moments, but obviously, life is not always honky-dory. It is not always great weather, happy get-togethers, hauls, favourite clothing items... but for now, I choose to have this blog as my happy corner in the universe:)

This is what I sewed from the  Merchant and Mills Workbook , which I had to order from Amazon UK coz it's not available here in North America until next year. (Why is that? Sigh....) So happy I did, because I love all the patterns from this book, you guys:) The Bantam Vest is the first pattern, and I decided to make the dress version. I sewed it with a cotton/linen blend fabric. How I wore it: The Bantam vest in the dress version is a very comfortable and easy-to-wear piece:) I love the racer back, and the fact that the back hem is longer. You'll be seeing these Blondo boots a lot...just saying.... To say that sewing has taken over my hobby life is an understatement.... Anyhoo, hope you're all having a lovely day so far:) XOXO

Guys, I've been obsessing over this image since I saw it. It's from a sewing pattern. image from pinterest Although this is not normally my style, I'm really digging the look, especially the one with the boots. Hence, my new obsession over leather biker boots. My #1 pick: these ones from Timberland . Second choice: these ones from Roots. Third is also from Timberland. What's your current obsession?

OMG! I'm not really the type of person who wins a lot of stuff (ahem...still waiting for my big lotto win!), so when Cheryl of Oh To Be A Muse blog informed me that I won her $100 Shopbop giveaway, I was super excited! Let me tell you how super quick and easy everything was: -July 2nd- Cheryl informed me I won. - July 4th- Got my item! Anyhoo, can you guess what it is? Joe's Jeans Heaven Flat Booties  Yes....I know....I can't help it. I have booties-obsession problem....but look how pretty they are! These booties were originally an Olivia Palermo-pick on another site, and lo and behold, they were on sale at Shopbop. I was meant to have them....meant, I tellz yah! (insert evil laugh here) Look who likes them too:P Anyhoo, just want to take this opportunity to thank Cheryl again, not only for the giveaway, but just for being a really cool blogger who, even with her huge readership, still takes the time to connect with her followers.:)

I had another kids-free day on the weekend, and took advantage of it by doing some shopping. Here's the haulage: Lush R&B hair moisturizer with sample of a shampoo bar 2 shorts from H&M that were on sale Steve Madden Pembrook suede booties in Taupe (ON SALE TOO!!!!) Look at all the freebies from Steve Madden! The original plan was to get summer sandals. What can I say? Must really stop this unhealthy obsession with ankle booties! I don't know why I'm stuck on this type of shoes, what with the warmer weather coming soon...sigh....these Pembrooks are so pretty though, aren't they?:P Anyhoo, hope everyone's having a great week so far:)

My sis-in-law had these in her closet, but never wore them so guess who got these? Bwahaha! Doc Martens Classic Collection boots I had the knock-offs from Payless in high school coz I couldn't afford the real ones (and was too lazy to get a job), so these bring back a lot of memories:) Any Doc Martens fans out there?

Well, if you have read this blog post , you might know I really like the Isabel Marant booties that came out awhile back but have not really been able to get my hands on them. I was pretty sure I would get a look-alike, but was waiting for a really good deal. Well, that deal finally came.
