SCARBERIAN FASHION LOVER

The title is something that one of the characters from the show The Haunting Of Bly Manor always said. I just recently binge-watched it, you guys, and it's sooooo good! (Many scary moments, but I was crying by the last episode...huhuhu). Anyhoo, a lot of the characters on the show wear these awesome knitwear pieces, and thus, this outfit is heavily inspired by it:) Muji sweater, Hot Topic pants, Vans A scene from the show.... image from screenrant.com Have you seen this show? I've seen The Golden Compass a few times awhile back, but it was just a few days ago that I watched it with my daughter. I did not realize before how beautiful the costumes were on this movie. The costume designer Ruth Myers did such a phenomenal job in not only capturing the characters' qualities through their wardrobe, but also in just how truly beautiful the pieces are. images from imdb.com from pinterest Have you seen the movie?

I was able to score some tickets last week to the Game Of Thrones 2014 exhibit ....yay! It was held this time at the TIFF Bell Lightbox , and they had different props and costumes to showcase (see previous year's exhibit here ). One thing I really loved about this year's exhibit was the Oculus VR technology, where we got the virtual reality experience of climbing up the Wall using the elevator used by the Night's Watch. Soooooo awesome, you guys! Here are the million pics I took:) (Warning: Some pics may have spoilers if you haven't seen all the episodes....just saying....) Oh Robb!! I'm probably the only person on earth who has not seen the movie "Catching Fire", which does seem like a travesty considering how much I love the books and the movie's costume designer Trish Summerville. She is all kinds of awesome. Her work on the character Lisbeth Salander (Girl With Dragon Tattoo) brought the whole "tough, street-kid" look into another level,  and her personal style is something I really admire.
