New look- Part 1

Image
I have been wanting to have Cassie's haircut for the longest time (see blog here ). Well, I'm still too chicken to have it done, but I decided it is time to do something about my hair. I decided on a less dramatic look, and this is the first part. I know you're jealous of all the toilet paper at the back... Couldn't help but laugh here coz I think hubby was making fun of my impromptu photo shoot! I am married to the best guy, I tellz ya... only he would say yes when his wife says "Please shave my head". All he said was, "how much?". I say Part 1 because this was only a trial to see if I would like it. Now that I do, I told hubby to shave my hair closer to the crown and basically do a thick mohawk next time, hopefully before Christmas. The thing that I love about this style is how much lighter it feels. I can also still pull a pretty conservative look but putting my hair down over the shaved parts. Will keep you guys posted:)

All things Dragon Tattoo

Latest hauls are these two I've been wanting for awhile... I really want to read GWDT before watching the much-awaited David Fincher movie, and the latter book because I take so many pictures that I figured it's time to learn the basics. Speaking of Girl With Dragon Tattoo, I've been waiting with anticipation for the H&M/GWDT collection (see blog here) . Well, I contacted H&M Canada, and it's arriving December 14th ! Woohoo! Here are the stores where you can buy the collection: TORONTO Toronto Eaton Centre, Queen Street and Yorkdale Mall VANCOUVER Pacific Centre Mall Online shopping is unfortunately not available in Canada. I truly want the entire collection, which rarely happens to me. These are, however, my favourites: (all images from www.trishsummerville.com ) Trish Summerville has done such a fabulous job with these, that I'm kinda obsessed with her now.

Let's all sing along!

My boys had their Christmas Concert this week, and may I just say what a cray cray night that was! It started pretty normal, but before the Kindergarten students had the chance to sing, the fire alarm went off...oh em gee! We ended up going home when all the cops and fire dept. came in. Anyhoo, it was still a great night, and one of the reasons I love the holiday season:) no-name coat, gifted dress from mom, Walmart scarf, Urban Planet leggings, super old socks peeking out of my Jeffrey Campbell Rumble booties My eldest son was dressed up like a "shepherd/little drummer boy":)

It's that time of the year again...

For some reason, it's always around the holiday season that I get into painting my nails. I can't even really say nail care, as to be honest, I don't take care of them too much. This time around, I developed a bit of an obsession with the colour turquoise. China Glaze Turned Up Turquoise polish Excuse the poor job. I literally had 2 minutes to do them. I didn't put a topcoat on, as I like the matte finish (which you can't really tell in the picture too much:P.  I am so into this colour right now I started knitting this scarf... With the rate I'm going, I should be finished by winter  2012... What is your favourite polish for this holiday season, gals? Do tell.:)

Partyin partyin yeah!

Every year, my younger sister's workplace union holds a children's Christmas party. This year, the kids and I were all able to tag along. Just thought I'd share some pics... Because I knew I would be running around the whole time, I just picked the comfiest stuff I have in my closet: Roots cardi, Topshop top, American Eagle jeans and uggs. I love using the LV Speedy, even though it's hand-held, because it can fit a lot of crap, both mine and the kids':P

I've been wearing this jacket a lot since getting it that my other outerwear stuff are feeling neglected. Razzle Dazzle faux shearling jacket, Urban outfitters top, Joe's Jeans jeggings, Old Navy booties Another outfit I wore the other day: this time with Old Navy shirt, no-name pants and Converse sneakers Hope everyone's having a great Sunday...mwah!
