Handmade

Just wanna share a new addition to my wardrobe: a sweater I knitted, guys!

I started this on Jan 31st, and finished on Tuesday (Feb 18th). The pattern is from an Ann Budd book, which I love and highly recommend.

Here are the pieces before I sewed them together...
two sleeves, and the back and front pieces

Blocking them before sewing:

Being sewn together after knitting the neckband:

Finished product...yay!
worn with LEI jeans from Walmart and Topshop boots

It's by no means perfect, but am so happy how this turned out:) Will probably make them now in different colours, and for the whole family.

Have you guys created garments for yourself or loved ones?

Wow,it turned out great. Would never have guessed, and didn't take long! We couldn't even if we tried. You should definitely make different colors and for the family too. Great Job!

Enjoy your day!

This is amazing Emmy! Usually when I think of homemade, handknitted jumpers I think of frumpy things that grannies knit but this is so cool and looks really expensive xxx

I don't know if you could say this about a sweater, but it looks yummy! I wish I could but I don't make my own clothes, so afraid they would fall apart while I was wearing them :-)

This is impressive and looks gorgeous on you. Great job. I have started knitting jumpers a few times but never quite finished it off. The whole sewing it together part confuses me.
