Just a plain all-black outfit, but lookie....printed scarf!
Wilfred top, old pants from Target, Converse sneakers, scarf from Hong Kong

Anyhoo, just wanna let you guys know that my posting may be a bit sporadic for awhile (but I'll still be reading and commenting on my fave blogs. You guys keep me sane:D). My eldest is due for a major surgery the first week of November (for his cleft lip and palate), so fingers crossed that by the end of the year, everything will settle down a bit. On that note, I'd like to share this post by a dear blogger friend, Rooth. Let me tell you...I wish I know in real life the people I've gotten to know through blogging.

and I wake in the night at the least sound
in fear of what my life and my children’s lives may be,
I go and lie down where the wood drake
rests in his beauty on the water, and the great heron feeds.

P.S. Just wanna take this opportunity to say thank you as well to Powder Blue with Polka Dots for the mention:)

I hope the surgery goes fine for him. I assume surgery for cleft lip and palate is rather routine. My mother had surgery twice within the last 12 months, and I've always kept a positive mind.
Sending positive thoughts your way! I know surgeries, even routine ones, can feel a little scary. By the way, your scarf is beautiful!
