Subway art

The Art Gallery of Ontario is having an exhibition of the artist Jean-Michel Basquiat's works until May 10th. One of the subway stations here in Toronto has a few posters showing his famous pieces, which I thought was pretty fantastic.

(I have not seen the exhibition yet...sigh....)

I am big fan of his work. It was a tragedy that he died at such a young age, but his influence continues to this day.

Do you have a favourite artist that inspires you?

Oh, I love that type of rough folky style. Expressive art is my favorite.

I can't remember if I told you, but Daisy is finished with season four now.

I was expecting her to be grossed out by Oberyn Martell's death. She made me rewind it so she could watch it again.
The posters are so cool! I bet it's an amazing exhibition.

What a fun idea to bring art to a public space like a station, they should do that over here too! Will you go to the exhibition?
What an amazing way to promote an exhibition. I love art but don't get to indulge in it as much as I used to. I'm also pretty bad with artists names and works though Banksy is one I don't think I'll ever forget lol. I do dream to see some of his work one day too.

Gracias por mostrar tan buen arte.
I love exploring street art too! Isn't it interesting to see random people paint or draw some talented work on the walls!
