Stretchy

This is the first time I've ever sewed with a stretch knit fabric. Boy...talk about learning curve!

Most sewists probably would think this is a big fail. I ended up stretching the neckline a lot (like, A LOT) because I had to rip and re-sew it so many times to make everything fit, not because of the pattern but just because I'm an idiot. (I highly recommend this pattern:)

You know what, though? I love how this turned out and will probably wear it to death. The fabric feels so nice and comfortable, yo!

This fabric is polyster-lycra blend, I think. So soft....

Have you had projects/ideas that you didn't think would work out but ended up loving the result anyway?

I don't know anything about sewing and this dress looks great to me. You will probably wear it to death cause it's so versatile and comfy :)

Most of the projects I make make me think it won't work out at some point. Very often it doesn't really work out! Or I quit halfway, thinking I will finish it another time :-)

Since I'm not a sewist, I think this turned out really great. Definitely looks super soft.

I used to be a seamstress and I think you did a great job for your first time. Sewing on stretchy fabric can be tricky as sewing on delicate fabrics. Great job Emmy. /Madison

Well done... this kind of texture must be really difficult to sew!
