CIBC Run For The Cure 2017

My younger sister was diagnosed with breast cancer last year. I'm not gonna go into how terrible that was, because...well, we all know it is.

She went through a lot. It's not over yet, but I'm happy to say that she's doing well:) She organized a group of her friends and family to do the CIBC Run For The Cure as a way to raise funds for the Canadian Cancer Society on October 1st. I thought I'd just share a few pictures from what turned out to be a great day despite the sadness of the cause.

My sis named her team Life Is What You Bake It coz she's a baker:D

me and my sis:)

It was perfect weather, y'all!

The eldest does not like his pics taken...hahaha
The team!

The cake my sis baked....yumyum!

Oh while it might be a horrible situation that brought you there (I'm so sorry to hear about your sister!) it's wonderful to see friends and family rallying around and helping fundraise - what a great group photo of you all after the marathon! An awesome achievement.

I hope your sister is one of the success stories in the end.
Emmy, so sorry to hear about your sister's diagnosis. But glad to hear she is doing better. Cancer runs on my dad's side of the family. Many have succumbed to it. So much money is needed for research. It's a devastating disease. Love what you and your family are doing. Awesome event.

Even though it's a sad cause, it does look like it turned out to be a great day. That cake your sis baked looked so cute and your daughter performing -- love it!

All the best to your sister!

What a lovely photo of you and your sister. I hope she continues to improve and gets 100% well. And well done to your daughter who isn't camera shy at all, I can't think where she gets that from! ;)

I totally understand Emmy. My mum was diagnosed with breast cancer and finally she is in remission, it's been one year for her being cancer-free. I am glad to hear your sis is doing a lot better. Thsi is such an important cause. Love and light to you and your family. x
