Just for the heck it

Wearing a dress for the first time since...well...forever, it feels like. I figured....why not?

old dress I sewed, worn with old leggings, Ecco boots

Had to pick up my new prescription eyeglasses. So weird, you guys. There's no one in the mall because it's only for essentials now. It's actually good to see people and establishments taking the stay-at-home order seriously (although we still have people here in Ontario having anti-mask/anti-lockdown protests and such. I can't even😔)

What have you been up to?

Lovely dress. Oh, I hope it went well with the glasses. I have still not worn my new glasses due to that aren't fitted on my head and they wouldn't do it at that time because of all the regulations. We have less rules these days. Although, they advise to wear a mask..and I do(I got my vaccines too). I did purchase 2 new A-line tunics from of all places CVS. They have such great pockets. Both floral! And I can wear them with my skinny jeans or leggings at work. I had liked the winter version which were solids. Hopefully, my director won't get on to me for being too colorful. We shall see. It's going to be in the 90's today. It's been so cold all month and finally a warm front settles in. Hope you are well and staying beautiful. Love your hair!
Such a cute dress! I love the contrast of that vibrant blue color against your hair. I've been living in dresses at home unless i'm working out. It just makes me feel so much more glamorous (not really) muahaha ;p
Show us the new specs ;) I've been wearing my glasses whenever I go out since I heard that Covid can be spread through the eyes. I'm really not taking any chances.
Restrictions have been easing in NYC and it's ridiculous the number of people who are acting like everything is normal and not wearing masks or social distancing at all. Like you said, I can't even 😔

That dress is so cute on you and you are always such a talented sewer to make these pieces! I tried to wear dresses more in lockdown when I did venture out as I wasn't wearing them at home, so this makes sense to me, haha!

I hope that things get safer for you soon and the "essential shops only" is lifted - it's always so strange to me when we lockdown seeing all the things closed, but thankfully our lockdowns are short, just so they can find all the contacts of the case that gets out of quarantine and put them in quarantine to keep us safe! I'm hopefully you'll get to that point too!

Hope that your week is going well! We spent the public holiday yesterday exploring a park and trail we hadn't been to before :)

I love that print on the dress. It looks so comfy and flowy.
When I think it's only my country/region still having issues with mask wearing and I realize it's not just here.

Hi to your family!! ha ha I see them kinda. :)
