What have I been watching #30

So, I thought I'd just share the ones I've seen lately that I've liked...I've been re-watching a lot of old films so I won't include that here:)

1) The Secrets of Dumbledore

I was originally not going to watch this in support of Johnny Depp (who was fabulous as Grindelwald in the previous movie), but as big fan of the franchise, I was curious and gave in. I actually liked this film a lot, but I still think this would have been much better with Johnny (Sorry Mads Mikkelsen.).

My fave is definitely Jude Law, but I also loved Callum Turner as Theseus and Jessica Williams as Prof. Hicks.

2) Moon Knight
Oscar Isaac....enough said.

3) Halloween Kills
I liked the Halloween film that preceded this more, but this was still ok. I think the main reason I wasn't too impressed was because of the ending...sigh....

What have you been watching lately?

Great to hear about Dumbledore! & Oscar Isacc! I started K-drama Sh**ting Stars which I'm not sure I will get into (PR people taking care of celebrities..which leads me back to one of my favorite actors who got cut off from the industry with a bullying scandal..I don't think I'm the only one who feels this industry treats it's idols like puppets), but I really love Twenty-Five Twenty-one with Nam Joo Hyuk. It's a good solid character for him. He has a bit of strife, but nothing horrible. Although, the central story takes place in 89 when a lot of people in S. Korea lost a lot of money and many went bankrupt...which affected not just the parents, but the kids who had dreams of becoming what they wanted, but many programs were cut from schools. Although, his character is left all on his own trying to make ends meet and yet he ends up helping with a comicbook store...=)

The winds have been horrible here. We have had grass fires west of us and blizzards north of us. We have only had a little hail, and a tiny bit of rain.

We just watched the second in the Fantastic Beasts franchise and didn't think it was as good as the first - is the third one better?
I really want to see the new Fantastic Beasts movie! I just haven't felt super comfortable heading to the theatre to see it, unfortunately. But I feel confident that Jude Law will be excellent! I did like Halloween Kills (minus the ending...sigh) but it felt very much like a "middle" film in the trilogy. I hope the next one will be better <3
the creation of beauty is art.
We're watching Moon Knight as well but mostly just baseball. We haven't watched the Fantastic Beasts series even though we've heard good things about it because I just can't support JK Rowling's terrible attacks against transgender people.

I feel really bad as while I've read all the original Harry Potter series I never got into the movies or any of the extra movies that have been released lately! I hear mixed things about it though so I'm not sure if I'm missing out. I haven't even seen all the original Harry potter movies, haha! Definitely more a book person than a movie person - and I can read books while the kids play, not easy to do with movies!

Hope that you are having a good week! It's a rainy one here!

Oscar Issac, yes, haha! Man, it's really his year isn't it? I've not had time to watch much this year, but I did watch Moon Knight, Julia, and the Gilded Age series recently. I'm finally back after a hiatus unplugged from the blog world a bit. Hope you're doing well. Happy weekend, Emmy. x/M
