What have I been reading #2- Junji Ito (伊藤 潤二)

I've just recently started reading Junji Ito's (伊藤 潤二) mangas, and I...am...obsessed! (He mainly does horror mangas.)

Venus In The Blind Spot and Uzumaki

I'm also getting back into studying Japanese seriously, so here are some Japanese mangas that I'm planning to finish soon.

Yotsuba, Sailor Moon and Demon Slayer

In case you have some time, here is an old video I recorded years ago where I talk about my language learning books:)

Oh, these look wonderful and can inspire your art too! I am afraid I haven't really finished anything. Although, I did start Jane Harper's The Survivors and it's a book club winner and editor's pick..I hear. Harper does have a way with making one aware of the harshness of the sea and those who live near the beach in this Australian tale. >>>>>> in other news I started a rather short drama (12 episodes) The Murder in Kairoutei which is much better than I even anticipated. Steve Zhang always delivers, and Deng Jia Jia is definitely perfect for her part too. It's based on a Japanese novel. I finally finished the Condor Heros series from 2008. I have been watching Dear M with a few new faces to admire. Which is basically watching college stories with multiple couples.
Hope you are having a sweet summer, full of creativity and some fun with your family too. All the best to your amazing creativity! I finally got another hat made for a friend's birthday. Of course, I mixed it up due to the shortage of yarn. The last time I went in (this was Wal-Mart) I almost fell over when I saw the price of yarn. Even there, very little on the shelf.
Oh wow. The art style is really powerful! What a wonderful way to get inspired and enjoy some thrills as well. So glad you are enjoying. I hope your week goes well and you're able to make lots of summer memories <3

Oohh the art in Venus In The Blind Spot looks so good. Watching mangas sounds like a great way to immerse yourself in learning Japanese. You know I'm just a big scaredy cat so unfortunately I don't have any horror manga suggestions for you. Hope your internet is fully back and you're staying cool chingu <3

I'm so not brave enough for horror - even manga's, that comic panel scared me a bit, haha! It's good you are finding time to get into these though! How do you go with the different direction for reading?

There's a Pokémon manga at the library the boys want but when I explain to them it's something they read in a different direction they don't really get it. It has guides on the first few pages (well the back of the book really, where you'd normally open it, to show you it's the original Japanese with English added to the existing structure). it just confuses them, I think they are a bit young for it, so we always put it back.

Hope you are having a good start to your week :)

Oh loving all the colorful art work. I have never read horror manga before. But I have heard of Sailor Moon. It looks quite interesting similar to a graphic novel. That is cool you are learning Japanese. I am learning French via Babble. I am currently reading Grace Coddington's autobiography loving it so far.

Wow the artwork is absolutely beautiful! I am not familiar with manga (I'm guessing it's a genre?), but I have definitely heard of Sailor Moon lol. Thank you so much for sharing! Have a lovely weekend!

I haven't done manga in forever. It's an expensive habit
I think its awesome that you're learning Japanese Emmy. I need to do the same. I just need to carve out some time and learn Spanish or French. It's such an asset to know multiple languages.
