Here in Toronto, one sign that summer is really over is the CNE! (We go every year and I've been posting about it consistently since 2011! )

Deep fried frozen watermelon.. the fact that it sound so absurd makes it a must try!! Great pics.. looks like a lot of fun.

Are you liking Gyeongseong Creature? Didn't watch cause I heard the plot was confusing and a bit of a letdown but if you end up loving it, LMK! If you like Park Seo Joon, you need to watch Itaewon Class (if you haven't already) and Midnight Runners (it's a movie that's funny and ultimately satisfying)

So fun! I'm glad you were able to spend time with the family at the CNE this summer. Definitely a nice way to end the season. I don't know that I would have been brave enough to try the frozen watermelon, but it certainly sounds interesting!

Oh chingu, I will wait to see what your opinion will be of GC when you finish it but your reaction to the ending of season 1 is exactly the same as what I heard from other people. I think you guys will enjoy Itaewon Class. It's another long game revenge story that is done right. Will have to warn you that the younger villain is a terrible actor and the female lead is quite polarizing. There is also a forced and unnecessary love line but other than that it's mostly good LOL ;p

I recently discovered that Tubi has Cantonese dramas and am in the midst of one called Legal Mavericks about a blind lawyer who helps marginalized people. It's not the best acted but quite entertaining and giving me all sorts of nostalgia because I grew up watching Canto dramas. Also I'm just enjoying listening to Cantonese and not needing subs.

Are you still doing language learning on Duolingo? We kind of finished the Chinese course and I'm relearning Spanish again. I think I might need another app to continue with Chinese learning.

Losing my mojo

 I've been having a hard time getting motivated to post anything at all these days. I've deleted X on my phone, and am on Bluesky now, but even then, I don't really post much there. (I've stopped posting on Instagram and Facebook years ago, and don't have a TikTok/) Even having a hard time posting consistently on my Art YouTube channel.  I do have a small Catholic YouTube channel, and another small  "fish" channel (and I use that term lightly coz I mostly post random stuff about our shubunkin goldfishes), but even then, these days, I just want to go "off the grid" :( That is all.
