Window shopping is dangerous, y'all! I usually go to high-end stores just for inspiration, but then, once in awhile, you find items that you just really end up loving and making you wish you win the lottery soon. Just some random phone shots of stuff I've been doing/enjoying lately:D Reading these books Enjoying this light box from Amazon  My daughter uses it more than I do! Our new calico ryukin, John Cena Kale chips (recipe from Gwyneth Paltrow's book My Father's Daughter) Ingredients: bunch of kale , olive oil, coarse salt Use only the kale leaves, not the stems. Toss in with oil and salt and spread in a baking sheet. Pre-heat oven to 400 degree Fahrenheit. Bake kale for about 13 minutes. Voilá! A few of the items I'm wearing in this post were stuff I've had for awhile but never post much for some reason or the other. I thought I'd bring them out of the closet so they don't get so lonely in there. Topshop coat, old sweatshirt from somewhere, UNIQLO pants, Aldo boots Out and about with the hubby on his birthday...

Some new and old movies I've seen lately that I've really loved:) 1) Black Panther Gosh! No words to describe how much I loved this film! Great story, great cast...this film deserves every accolade it has gotten. This film has also made me obsessed with Michael B. Jordan. He was just awesome as Eric Killmonger. Honourable mention to Letitia Wright, who was fab as Shuri. image from marvel.com 2) The Vatican Tapes This is an old-ish film (2015), but a great watch nonetheless. Very made-for-TV and predictable, but I thought the Olivia Taylor Dudley did a great job as the lead IMO. image from imdb.com 3) Insidious 4: The Last Key I'm a super huge fan of the Insidious franchise, and this one does not disappoint. Also kind of predictable, but still had a few legit scary moments. image from imdb.com 4) Thor Ragnarok Another old-ish film (came out last year) but I just saw it and so am including it here. My fave Thor movie so far. Super funny and Cate Blan...

 Sooo...when I sewed this dress in 2016, it was one size too small. I made the mistake of thinking the finished measurements on the pattern envelope would fit me fine, but it ended up being too tight. I still wore this dress a few times though coz I do love the style...great for casual outings, you know? Well, now...I think it's really time to make another one, and the right size at that. I would like to think that it's just the dress shrinking but no...I'm sure it's all the eating I've done over Christmas and Chinese New Year. I'm pretty sure that if I sneeze while wearing this dress, I'll probably be like Incredible Hulk and break all the seams...ahem. Or I can also just try to lose the weight... huhuhu old dress I sewed using Tilly and the Button's Bettine dress worn with no-name leggings and Vans sneakers Onward and upward!!!

I'm gonna make a confession now, you guys. When I colour my hair, I tend to hate the shade about five seconds later. Out of all the colours I've tried, however, this Hot Hot Pink by Manic Panic is one of my faves (along with Atomic Turquoise). It washes out super fast though, but I guess with colours this bright, that's ok. A lot of people I meet for the for first time always think I'm a hair stylist. TBH, the pros would probably cringe on how I do my hair, which is why I colour it myself:D I tend to do a weird gradient on my hair, depending on how the old colour washes off:D On another note, it's my eldest son's birthday today! Happy Birthday, J. XOXO  He's a teenager now....huhuhu...time sure flies by. He was about 8 or 9 in the pic below and now, he's taller than I am! He's been through a lot, being born with a lot of health issues such as cleft lip and palate, but he's never complained despite having had about 5 surgeries ...
