Soooo...it's my middle child's turn to have his Confirmation (you can see my eldest's one here ). It's always kinda crazy preparing for Catholic sacraments because it always involves preparatory meetings and such, but man...I do think it's worth it (for me anyhoo) when you see them in the ceremony. with our parish priest...he's a cool dude:)  Of course, one must take selfies in church...sigh....  My younger sis was my son's sponsor. with the officiating bishop

This past weekend, my daughter, sis-in-law and I had the chance to go to the Toronto Knitter's Frolic at the Japanese Cultural Centre. We've been going every year since 2014 but did miss last year's because my daughter was in the midst of her First Confession meetings at the time. We had the time to go this year, so yay! Thank you to my sis-in-law L for driving us there! Even though she's not as obsessive with knitting as I am, she's always willing to go with us. Thank you, L:) I decided to wear a completely handmade outfit, so I wore this Love Birds sweater I knitted (which you guys have seen before here ; DD was also wearing her Love Birds jumper) and I also made this skirt. Sweater I knitted, skirt I also made using Sew Over It's Ultimate Pencil Skirt pattern, Doc Marten's I love this skirt, you guys! This is definitely gonna get a lot of wear The skirt in progress: I am kinda proud of how I matched the line...

I've worn this leather jacket and ankle boots on this blog a lot. I think they are must-haves and such versatile pieces...and yay that I can finally put away my thick winter coat (knock on wood)! Silence & Noise leather jacket, shirt I sewed, UNIQLO legging pants Have a great weekend, everyone!

We had the chance to see the pop-up Fleurs de Villes show at Vaughan Mills which featured mannequins dressed in beautiful floral gowns. It was really amazing how these looked, you guys! Here are some pics we took:)

This is officially my 1000th post, you guys! IKR?!?!? So....I feel like this winter will never leave us, guys! We just had an ice storm, and it's the middle of April...sigh....Well, one thing that's sure to make a girl feel good is having new stuff in the closet. (Yes...I'm shallow.) shirt my mom got from Marshall's, H&M pants, Ugg Australia Adirondack boots And another lovely gift from the hubby...almost scary how much he knows what I like and don't like. Muji Water Repellant Trench Coat Love this coat soooooo much. I've been wanting something like this for awhile coz I think it's such a timeless piece, you know? Anyhoo, I hope you are all having a better weather than us over here!

Do you guys remember this dress I sewed awhile back? I really didn't like it and never did wear it again, so I decided to turn it into a skirt. skirt I sewed (self-drafted) worn with leather jacket from Urban Outfitters, Muji shirt and Doc Martens I re-sewed the four bottom panels and turned it into one that looks a bit like a kilt. I attached a kilt buckle and used a kilt pin which were surprisingly easy to find!  In progress: hand-sewing the buckle The waistband after I must admit I'm quite happy how this turned out. Definitely will get more wear than the original! And speaking of second time, I knitted another one of these:) used the Pussyhat Project pattern
