Recipe: Pork Ribs
Ideally, cooking pork ribs would require a bit of planning. Marinade overnight, then do your homemade barbecue sauce for basting the next day. This, however, does not usually pan out in our household, where almost everything is done on the day of eating. Thus, this is the easy no-plan recipe for pork ribs that still produces great results:)
What you need/Ingredients:
roasting pan with a rack
3 lbs pork back ribs
2 tbsp all-purpose seasoning (If you don't have this, salt and pepper is, of course, fine. Use about 1 tbsp salt and 1 tsp pepper.)
1 bottle of dark beer
3) Cover the pan with foil, and place in the middle rack of the oven. Bake for 1&1/2 hours (90 minutes). (You are steaming the ribs at this point.)
4) Remove the ribs from the oven. Dial down the oven temperature to 350ºF. Pour out the drippings into a bowl. This will be the basting liquid.
5) Place the ribs back into the rack and pan, and into the oven without the foil this time. Bake for another 1&1/2 hours (90 minutes), basting every 20 minutes. Flip the ribs after 45 minutes.
