Well, I think I've written before that I shouldn't really wear black in the summer coz it's just cray-cray. You know what? I just did! I AM SO SMRT...I mean, SMART! Wilfred top from Aritzia, H&M pants, Vans sneakers I had to wear sneakers as hubby and I did a lot of walking the day these were taken. It was such a beautiful day that everyone was outside enjoying it... Are you guys prone to not wearing black in the summer, or do you just go "to hell with it even if it means I'm gonna sweat"?

A girl can never have enough bags, right? For some reason, I've been lemming (That's right, I wrote lemming!) for satchels lately. I know I've written about them before (see blog here ). This time around, though, I was searching for a studded one. Guess what I found at H&M? Weeeeeeeeeeee! I am so in love with this bag it's not even funny. It's just the right size, and seems sturdy enough to be knocked around with. That is all:) How about you guys? Any scores lately?

We finally had a decent weather yesterday, so the whole family went to the zoo for some outdoor fun....well, at least for those minutes the three monkeys were not fighting with each other.... You can tell this was taken close to the end of the trip...no more smile! Have an awesome weekend, everyone:)

Ugh! This terrible heat wave is driving everyone bonkers, and when I say everyone, I mean me especially! My first post was written on July 10th, 2011. (I know it's belated, but to be honest, I spazzed out and actually forgot:P) I can't believe how fast the year flew by. Just wanna say thank you to each and everyone who has taken the time to read and/or comment on my posts. Means a lot:)

I must admit that with this summer we've been having, my legs have been seeing the light of day far more than usual...much to the chagrin of those around me:P People are saying that legs are the "it" thing nowadays, so I would just like to think I'm on trend...ahem.... H&M shorts, top from Urban Outfitters (I think), Payless sandals I really do love these sandals:) (I know you love the calluses!) Have a great Monday, everyone:)

I'm sorry for the lacklustre title, but I seriously have a brain fart sometimes when trying to come up with titles for blog posts. This was the best I could come up with... husband's shirt, H&M pants, Joe's Jeans booties Anyhoo, do you guys have a trick on how to have all these creative blog titles? Do tell your secret:)

I seem to have a mental block when it comes to colour blocking, but I thought I'd give it a shot. This is the closest outfit I came up with:) Lacoste shirt, Urban Behavior skirt, Tod's loafers Admittedly, I wouldn't really recommend wearing black when it's too fekking hot outside....bah! (I promise, this is the last weather complaint....for a few days....) That is all.  

I wish denim mini skirts would come back in style in a big way, just because I like 'em. H&M top, Old Navy denim skirt, Joe's Jeans booties This pic just makes me laugh. LOVE.THESE.BOOTS...even though they're new, no breaking-in period:) What do you think? YAY or NAY for jean skirts? Mind you, I think I've been liking them lately just because this summer has been boiling hot.:P

OMG! I'm not really the type of person who wins a lot of stuff (ahem...still waiting for my big lotto win!), so when Cheryl of Oh To Be A Muse blog informed me that I won her $100 Shopbop giveaway, I was super excited! Let me tell you how super quick and easy everything was: -July 2nd- Cheryl informed me I won. - July 4th- Got my item! Anyhoo, can you guess what it is? Joe's Jeans Heaven Flat Booties  Yes....I know....I can't help it. I have booties-obsession problem....but look how pretty they are! These booties were originally an Olivia Palermo-pick on another site, and lo and behold, they were on sale at Shopbop. I was meant to have them....meant, I tellz yah! (insert evil laugh here) Look who likes them too:P Anyhoo, just want to take this opportunity to thank Cheryl again, not only for the giveaway, but just for being a really cool blogger who, even with her huge readership, still takes the time to connect with her followers.:)

I know it's summer here where I am, and braising is not usually something you would do in a hot weather, but this one is so easy and fairly quick that it's become an all-season dish in our house. (This is a bastardized version of the Joy of Cooking Braised Lamb Recipe.) Ingredients: braising pan with a tight-fitting lid 4 lamb shoulder chops (serves 4) 1/4 cup unsalted butter 1 teaspoon olive oil 1 teaspoon Herbes de Provence 4 cloves of garlic, roughly chopped 1 cup white wine 1 cup chicken stock pinch of salt and pepper 1. Heat the butter and oil on the pan for about two minutes, then add the chops to brown them- about 4 minutes each side. Brown the meat in batches if the pan is not big enough. 2. Remove the meat, then add the garlic and Herbes. Saute for about a minute, or until the garlic browns. Add the white wine, and boil for about 3 minutes (until it's about half a cup). Add the chicken stock, and boil for another 3 minutes. 3. Add the chops, ...

In honour of our country's birthday yesterday, I had to wear red and white (the colour of our flag)...HAD TO!! Wilfred top from Aritzia, Levi's jeans, Steve Madden booties The kids wanted to be in the photo shoot...heehee.... We went out for brunch, and I had this awesome omelette with salmon, crab meat and all other good stuff:) On that note, advanced Happy 4th of July to our American neighbours. Any plans?
