The Cleo

This is the latest item I've sewn...a pinafore dress. Guys, I never knew how this is such an awesome all-season and comfortable piece to have. I will be definitely making more! (I've already worn this three days in a row...somebody stop me!).

pinafore dress sewn using the Cleo pattern from Tilly and the Buttons,  sweater from Winners, no-name leggings, Joe's Jeans booties

In progress (FYI: fabric I used is stretch denim):

Are you guys a fan of the pinafore/dungaree dress?

I guess the pinafore dress works so well because it can so easily be layered over other items. Really an every season piece. Great job on it!

I love pinafores! You are just too cute!!
What an adorable dress Emmy! I had one with very similar details that I just wore to death when I was in middle school. Love how your little photo bomber decided to join you for these cute pics. I'm shivering just looking at you two ;p I seriously cannot wait for winter to be over LOL

That is a beautiful dress and the pinafore style is a classic design for a dress and I like that you used stretch denim to make it. Beautiful pictures and your daughter is so adorable. Have a great Week.

I see your Prime Minister is in DC right now. I feel bad for him. I know acting nice around President Cheeto must not be easy

I need a pinafore dress. I can’t believe you made this yourself. I have dreams of sewing matching outfits for my kids one day. I figure I have plenty of time since I don’t have any kids right now lol. Your daughter is adorable.
