The button down tunic

This is the latest sewing project I've finised: a shirt dress/tunic. For those who've been reading my blog for awhile, you know my obsession with the Olsen twins, and this tunic reminds me of something they would wear.

hand-sewing the collar band
The finished tunic

(I ran out of the black buttons so used red ones instead for the pocket flaps and I quite like the contrast.)
Please excuse the wrinkles. Took this pic after I tried it on:D

Love that there are the sleeve tabs so you can wear this with 3/4 sleeves.

Super! I love to team up dresses with sneakers too. And I like the addition of coloured buttons.
Cute pattern! I love the look of tunics but I tend to stay away because I'm afraid they might make me look short.

Oh I totally see the Olsen twin connection with this tunic. I have a "you got it, dude" t-shirt that's so long, I could probably turn it into a tunic.

Love that shirt and I definitely feel like this is Olsen approved. Oh man, speaking of which I miss those days of them being "it" girls. Maybe I'm just getting old but I feel like celeb fashion was at its pinnacle back then no?!
