What have I been watching #7

Shows and movies I've recently seen that I highly recommend:)

1) Hereditary

Wow wow wow! This horror movie...just so amazing, and this totally deserves every great review it has gotten. Just blown away by Toni Colette's performance here. I've always been a fan of horror that relies more on atmosphere than graphic effects, and this definitely succeeded in that aspect.

2) Voice 2 (DramaFever)

I loved the first season of Voice (as stated here), so it was no surprise that I loved the second season of this crime drama. Even though Jang Hyuk was not in this new season, Lee Ha Na remained and she was great as always.  Lee Jin Wook was also a great lead. Even though the ending was a cliff hanger, I was ok with it because it means there's Voice 3....woooooo!

3) Gab Dong (Netflix)

I've always been a fan of Sung Dong-il so when I saw he was a part of this show, I knew I had to watch it. It took a few episodes for me to like this crime drama, but it did become interesting as the episodes went on. I have about 3 episodes left as I write this (there are 20 in total, about an hour long each), and I can't wait to see how it ends!

4) Near Equal

I recently just discovered the works of photographer Daido Moriyama and am now a big fan so I've been doing a lot of research on him. I found this documentary on YouTube and it was such an inspiring film to watch. Highly highly recommend:)
(The full film is linked above.)

What have you guys been watching lately?

We tried watching the first Voice but just couldn't get into it. We've been watching baseball mostly and I've gotten into Chinese movies again just because I miss hearing Chinese. Also started Rise of the Phoenixes but not sure if I'm gonna stick with it cause it's like 70 eps. O_o

I'm afraid I'm a bore. I never watch TV at all, I do watch some clips on Youtube but I just don't have the time to sit down and watch programmes anymore. I do watch a lot of music videos though, does that count?

I'm not a fan of horror movies so I think that first one would be too scary for me, haha!

I just watched the new episode of The Good Place last night on netflix so that's going to consume my Friday nights, every time they release another episode, haha!

Hope that you are having a nice start to your weekend :)

I have heard of Heredity but haven't watched it.. we usually lean towards for tv shows than movies.. fall tv is back so I am getting back into all the shows.. but I like to wait a few weeks so that I have a couple of episode accumulated and then I can binge :)

I actually started to watch This is Us and oh my goodness it is so incredibly good
I'm not really into horror movies, I was traumatised watching The Ring so that was pretty much my last horror-horror movie hahahaha! Thanks for the heads up on some shows. I don't think I could get into Voice, I'm not sure, maybe I'll give it another chance. I finished up Whats Wrong With Secretary Kim and didn't really like that one. It dragged out too much. I loved My ID is Gangnam Beauty. That was good. Just started Something In the Rain, I'm really into this, half way through now!
