Product Rave: When good is actually GREAT

I rarely do a stand-alone product rave post, as I tend to try a lot of skin care and makeup, and frankly, I do like a lot of them.

There are a few, however, that surpass them all like RCMA foundations, and the Son & Park Beauty Water . Today, there is a new one on the list. The Sunday Riley Good Genes deserve its own post and is right up there now with my Holy Grail products.

I've heard a lot about Sunday Riley before, and all positive things about the line. I never tried it though because it's a bit expensive. When my older sister gave me the Scouted by Sephora kit for Christmas, I was excited to see all new-to-me products, and it had the Sunday Riley Good Genes that makeup artist Monika Blunder was raving about.

Sooooo....long story short, I fell head over heels in love with this product as soon as I put it on. Ehrmahgerd! It's seriously a facial in a bottle. My face just loves this!

I have super sensitive skin and it does not like BHA at all. I also break out with anything that has glycolic acid. I almost gave up finding an exfoliator I can use, but I thought I'd give the Good Genes a go because it uses lactic acid (which I've never tried). Well, I'm so glad I did. I've actually had days now when I don't mind going out without foundation, which is really rare for me.
no makeup except for MAC Ruby Woo lipstick

I'm currently just using it every other day to make this tiny bottle last longer. (You do only need a small amount for the whole face so yay!) There's a kit that has a small Good Genes that I will be getting while saving up for the full size but this is one product that I definitely think is worth every penny.

What is your skin care/makeup splurge?

Oh this does sound good. I will be in the market for a new moisturizer soon and will consider this for sure. I used an eye cream of theirs and liked but indeed it is a bit expensive.

I do use a moisturiser at night to avoid looking like a prune. Hasn't worked.

Hello Emmy
Honestly your skin looks wonderful, we don't like it but a good product is expensive. I am also like that when I have a more expensive product also I don't use it always so that it lasts longer.

You have a really nice skin dear, and this product looks great ( it's great to have a sister :D)
Oooh I've wanted to try this for ages. I've only used the blue moon cleanser. I did like it and it works a treat but I ended up going with Eve Lom. Even though I hate the smell (smells like tomato soup for me lol) I prefer it to Sunday Riley. But nonetheless I still want to try more products from them. People always rave about them and that cleaner lasted me nearly a year so it was worth every penny too.

I only tried Sunday Riley in December but I've not tried this product yet, I really want to though as I could do with a facial in a bottle haha xx
