Why not?

I know some knitters don't knit in the summer, but not me....mwa ha ha!

Here's my latest finished item...a hat:) I used Da Crofter's Kep pattern by Wilma Malcolmson, which is put out by the Shetland Wool Week.

used the pattern Da Crofter's Kep (free right now here)

Have you guys been to Shetland (Scotland)? I would love to visit this place someday. What is one place you would like to visit soon?

PS In case you are fan of Van Gogh, I just did a book review video of his biography. It took me 6years to finish this book...LOLZ. Check it out:)

Thank you so much for your indepth look at the Van Gogh book! I so love the hat! Yes, now it the time to be busy with all that knitting to get a good start for the fall. I have crocheted a few hats as of late..finally. I keep telling myself..make another one before you forget this pattern. My problem is getting it big enough for some of these big brains I know. I have been trying to make it easier too with organizing my yarns and getting them into balls. My latest venture I found summer weights on sale, but it was chaos just trying to find the beginning of the yarn. A lot goes in to just being ready to start a hat. & of course, some days I'd rather be writing.

Love the hat and it looks so professional. I do jigsaws throughout the summer when most people only do them in the winter!

I want to travel to our house in Arizona!

Now I'll watch the video!

What a cute and colourful hat! I think it makes sense to knit in summer so you have some finished pieces to wear when the weather cools! :)

Hope that your week is off to a good start :)

Oh this came out GREAT! Yes why not knit in summer, you may not be knitting for summer but that does not mean you can not knit is summer for fall and winter. Oh boy 6 years wow!

WOW. This hat looks so incredible. I absolutely love the colours and the pattern. I am always amazed at how talented you are. Also...that book is absolutely massive so I can totally understand why it took time to get through. I find that with certain books, I start something, stop, and then have to start all over again. The early years of the Van Gogh book were interesting I'm sure but the later years would definitely be a little more captivating and easier to get through!
Yes why not? You can knit in the summer and wear the pieces in the fall ;p What a gorgeous hat! The vivid colors and pattern are so happy. I really want an island vacay but still don't feel like it's safe enough to travel yet.
