Life lately- Spring 2022

Just sharing some stuff we've been up to lately:) I can't believe we're going into summer soon....eeek!

My daughter just finished her spring swimming class.
My eldest just had his prom, and will be going to university in September....wut?!?!?

Both my boys just got graded in their Brazilian jiu-jitsu class...yellow belts now. Yay:)

We just got two new shubunkins:)
(Fact: I love fancy goldfishes and kept them for a long time until  my last one passed away. We had that fantail for 10 years. Currently, we have a red-eared slider I've kept for almost 13 years...fingers crossed he'll be around for a long time.)
My daughter just had her Spring Concert/Recital. That's her voice teacher on the piano. She's awesome:)

Here's the link to a short video of her singing:)

And lastly...our parish church just had its first barbecue since the pandemic happened. It was great to see familiar faces:)

Our old parish priest who officiated our wedding came back for a visit! We were so happy to see him:) It looked like I was crying here, but I wasn't! It was a fun day:D

Please let me know what you've been up to lately:) I'm nosy...hehe

Holy cow - your oldest is flying the nest so soon! It's summer here and HOT. My vegetable garden is taking off!
So much happening with your family! I am glad you've been making the most of the season. It's hard to believe summer is almost here. Your fish are beautiful! We have fish as well and I always have a weakness for fancy goldfish, because their faces have so much personality. Everyone in your family is so talented <3

Oh, how sweet! Love these moments! Especially, to be out to see familiar faces. Yes, they grow up so quickly! I hope you have a lovely summer. Went to the farmer's market Saturday. Only, everything seems to have jumped in price. I still managed to get some Rhubarb Strawberry jelly. Didn't find the veg I was looking for, but of course, I had to try brookies (a brownie on top and chocolate chip cookie bottom) I am on a quest to make my own now.

Such a wonderful post! And such beautiful kids! & you too!

Oh, someone saw me in my granny square striped hat and loved it, so I'm making her one now. Wish me luck!

The BBQ sounds like fun and it's crazy to think your eldest is off to university this year! They do grow up so fast! :) My sons loved karate and one has a yellow and the other an orange belt but they haven't really been into it much lately at practice so they haven't graded for a while. it's a shame as they loved it so much when they started!

Hope your week is going well. It's a really cold, wintery one here!

So happy to hear about all these great things going on with you and your family chingu! Wow on your eldest going to college in the fall! That is so exciting. And how bad ass are your boys that they are yellow belts now. And your Mini Me with the lovely voice is no longer so mini ;p

Not much new with me. It's a big medical month and we're getting all our various checkups and scans done. Real exciting stuff I know. I was just invited to a retirement party for my favorite former boss and I'm trying to debate whether to go because it's an indoor event O_o

So happy to see what you have been up to. I feel like we have seen you children grow up here on your blog. How exciting that your little one is now about to go to university, wow! I have been travelling in the States, and UK, and will be until September for work but we booked a quick holiday to Scotland and around the English countryside in Devon, and hope to try to pop in Vancouver on the way back for a friend's wedding but not sure yet, since they changed the date.
