Markham Comic Con 2023

 We had a chance to go to the Markham Comic Con this weekend. It's a small event, but we all liked it coz it was a more intimate affair, and we were actually able to talk to the artists we bought some stuff from:)

This looks like such a fun experience! It's nice to attend smaller events sometimes, especially since the Toronto conventions tend to be SO busy. I love what you brought home. That print with the person reading on public transportation is incredible. I don't know quite what it is that makes the picture so special, but wow. It's wonderful.

Smaller events like this can be great since they're often less crazy. You can take you time and really see everything and get more out of the experience. It's so lovely that your family attends together. Looks like you all had a blast and picked up some cool merch too! My husband and I are averse to crowds so we're not big on conventions. I also used to have to both work and attend conventions for one of my old jobs so I've kind of had my fill of them LOL ;p Hope this week will be awesome for you Emmy <3

Our state had a SC Comic-Con happen not that long ago but we didn't really have the time to go because bringing Alexander would not have been good because they drew had a big crowd

Oh, some fun times! Great haul too! So glad you make it to this event! Hope you have a beautiful warm May! Some cold winds here. But we are gradually warming up and we even have some dandelions to look forward to!

Hope you are getting through your booklist! & having some great art projects done too!

It's nice you could all go to the convention together, and that your daughter dressed up in a costume for it too! :)

That was fun Emmy :D Plus you got to meet some cool people. Smaller settings allow you to do that. I love the Stormtrooper picture. Awesome!!! I need to go to more conventions. I haven’t had the time.

Here are some recent shots taken with my Pentax K1000 film camera. I decided to mail my films and have them developed at Downtown Camera , and oh my gosh, you guys! The latest item I finished knitting: the Waiting For Rain shawl:) Love how this turned out, you guys:) The yarn was really lovely to work with (Kaleidoscope) and the pattern was easy to follow. Now that it's getting colder again, a knitted shawl is always handy to have:D It's just the right length, and it sits nicely on the shoulders. I know a lot of people don't like wearing leggings as pants. I'm not one of those people. (I do have a rule that the top has to be long enough to cover your butt.
