Oh, it's great to find a piece that you love. Mine is something old too. Kind of a baggy thermal top that has seen it's better days, but I love it, especially to wear at home. Oh, I used to wear it out, more, but since the pandemic it's been my favorite sweater like to cuddle in any time of the year with a good book. Of course, the older I get the harder it is for me to find that perfect book. However I am reading the thriller SPARE ROOM.
I did get to see Barbie twice. Once with a youngster who brought his Slim Ken who gave me much more insight than I expected (I'm thinking he was too young to see it..he's seven) Still, in his book the Kens won. Second time was with an old friend. Although, I'm beginning to think our friendship might have expired now. She still can't taste anything since Covid so she is not in the best mood. Although, I can't say I LOVED the Barbie movie, but it most definitely got people and girls night out for many this hot summer. It is cute with qualms.
AGAIN! You look adorable in this. Any chance you will make one from this pattern?
Such a cute dress! I can see why you still love it! I have a number of pieces that I've reworn over the years but I do have a special affection for all my Citizens of Humanity jeans.
It is SUCH a gorgeous dress. I can definitely understand why you love it so much! You have the most beautiful pieces in your wardrobe! the creation of beauty is art.
Here are some recent shots taken with my Pentax K1000 film camera. I decided to mail my films and have them developed at Downtown Camera , and oh my gosh, you guys! Such a big difference with how they turned out. So so happy, and will be sending all my 35mm films to them from now on. (All these shots were how they were sent to me...no editing. Used Fujifilm ISO200 films.)
The latest item I finished knitting: the Waiting For Rain shawl:) Love how this turned out, you guys:) The yarn was really lovely to work with (Kaleidoscope) and the pattern was easy to follow. Now that it's getting colder again, a knitted shawl is always handy to have:D It's just the right length, and it sits nicely on the shoulders. Waiting For Rain shawl by Sylvia McFadden, worn with my old Rainbow Bar&Grill shirt and UNIQLO pants In progress: Blocking:
Soooo....the last week of school is always crazy in our household, but this year was crazier than usual coz my middle and youngest children both graduated (high school and elementary)! Wut?!?! This was the dress I wore during the tea ceremony at my wedding and it fits her now! We also just celebrated Canada Day! Here are some pics I took over the weekend. My daughter wanted to show off her custom-designed Batman shoes she made hahaha How was your weekend?

I find I have a few pieces from fast fashion brands that are a few years old and still going - quality has definitely changed nowadays!
