Another heat wave has hit the city. I don't know how I feel about it. I mean, it is officially summer so this should be expected. At the same time, there's something disturbing about walking out of the house and feeling like you're in an oven. I love this shirt, as it's black, comfy, and I don't really understand what it says. Now that summer weather has taken over North America (most days anyway), I thought I'd post my favourite beauty products for the hot days:) Skin: Eucerin Moisturizer with SPF (a must) and Aquaphor Lip Repair Face: My daily makeup: nothing too heavy coz there's nothing worse than heavy makeup and sweat combined! (The Body Shop Blush Trio Shade in Warm Sunset, Quo Brow Focus in Brunette, Garnier BB Cream) Hair: Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray and Lush R&B Hair Moisturizer to combat the frizz (which is always a battle for me) Scent: Versace Bright Crystal Perfume (a great light scent for the summer) What are your favourite summer products? This was taken on a day that was so hot and humid that I wanted to wear something light and airy but still covered. (It was BOILING that the city had a heat alert!) It's supposed to be cooler today....fingers crossed.... Zara top and jeans, Tod's loafers My daughter is obsessed with cleaning the backyard every time we're out there! Seriously! This post is dedicated to the awesomest dads that I know:) Taken when our middle child was was just born...good times:P My dearest dad (who passed away in 2006)- This was taken Halloween 2005.  Father's Day ended up being a great and relaxing day. My in-laws took the kids for the day, so my husband and I went downtown for some "let's pretend we're dating again" time, as the weather ended up being nice(although they predicted rain!). The whole clan then up met for dinner:) John Eshaya JET tunic, Urban Behavior leggings, Steve Madden booties, Topshop bag The North by Northeast (NXNE) happened this weekend too, so that's the stage behind me (in Yonge and Dundas Square). Hope everyone had a great weekend, and here's to a fab work week ahead:)

My sis and I were discussing the other day the popularity of the half-tucked shirt. A lot of bloggers do this for their pics (or perhaps in real life:P). So, on that note, I thought I'd do an outfit pic with me doing so. H&M shirt, Target pants, Steve Madden booties  How I really wore the outfit the whole day:P  So comfy....yay! Do you guys like the half-tucked-in-shirt look? To be honest, I've always thought this was a silly thing to do, especially coz everytime I do it, it just looks sloppy.

I had another kids-free day on the weekend, and took advantage of it by doing some shopping. Here's the haulage: Lush R&B hair moisturizer with sample of a shampoo bar 2 shorts from H&M that were on sale Steve Madden Pembrook suede booties in Taupe (ON SALE TOO!!!!) Look at all the freebies from Steve Madden! The original plan was to get summer sandals. What can I say? Must really stop this unhealthy obsession with ankle booties! I don't know why I'm stuck on this type of shoes, what with the warmer weather coming soon...sigh....these Pembrooks are so pretty though, aren't they?:P Anyhoo, hope everyone's having a great week so far:)

It's been really cool and rainy the past few days...sigh...sweaters are back out from the closet. Express sweater, LEI jeans from Walmart, Aldo Bubb booties I've been wearing these boots a lot lately. N.B. I usually don't mention current events on this blog, but on Saturday (June 2nd), the mall I went to (Eaton Centre) had a shooting a few hours after I left.  I was really glad that, first, I left early, and second, that I was alone and the family was not with me (in case I didn't leave early). Thoughts and prayers to the  people affected by this tragic event:(

(Warning:NSFW)                             Topshop satchel I bought a year ago. Have been using this a lot lately as it's the perfect size for my daily use. The new Maroon 5 single Payphone ...oh...em...gee. I'm obsessed! Best part of the song: If "Happy Ever Afters" did exist, I would still be holding you like this Sam Fine's Basics of Beauty DVD (I love Sam Fine, and this DVD is da bomb!)
