This is just a super basic outfit, but what makes it special is the super duper awesome shirt! shirt from Fan Expo Toronto, Levi's jeans, Doc Martens I feel very Kirsten Stewart in this outfit, minus the pretty face and the cheating on RPatz (because Rob, I would never cheat on you!) Can't get enough (and TY)

Image
I just can't seem to get enough of animal print, so much so that when we went to Target, I had to get these pants. Mossimo jeans from Target, Zara top, Dv by Dolce Vita booties I really love these pants, as they fit me well, and they are really really reasonably priced. Another win-win purchase, right? :) On another note, LV of Food Fashion and Flow blog was kind enough to nominate me for the Addictive Blog Award. It's an honour, as she's another one of the bloggers I've been following and admiring for awhile. Not only does she blog about awesome recipes and outfits, she also posts some really inspirational prose. If you haven't visited her site, go now:) Thank you, LV. Fan Expo Canada (Picture heavy!)

Image
Toronto just had its own version of the Comic Con, and we were able to attend the event yesterday for the first time. Let's just say my inner geek was ecstatic. The event opened at 10am, but we were there from about 9am to line up for tickets. There's a lot of us nerds over here:P Needless to say, it was worth it. Here are some pics taken:) We left the little one with my sister-in-law, as she would've been too young to appreciate the whole thing, and the waiting thing would've been nasty for her... while waiting in line... Top Five Movies For Fashion-Inspiration

Image
I know this has been done to death, but I haven't yet, so here goes:).... My top five fashion-inspiration movies: 5) Reality Bites : Because I loved everything Winona wore in this movie, and would wear them today in a heartbeat.  4) Rent : Each actress/actor has a specific item that s/he wore throughout the film (ie. a leather jacket, a scarf), and I love that. I think a piece of clothing or accessory helps define a character, and sometimes, even in real life:P 3) Amelie : Audrey Tatou's Amelie became such an icon when the film came out, and for a reason. Not only is the movie enchanting, Amelie's look is very French, with its I-wish-have-it "je ne sais quoi" quality. 2) Breakfast at Tiffany's : A classic....really, no need to explain why this is #2. And 1) Priscilla: Queen of the Desert Excellent hair, makeup and wardrobe....nothing beats this movie for me. I can watch it over and over (and have, actually:P) The film also shows that bei...

Hungry Like A Wolf

Image
The family decided to stay at Great Wolf Lodge in Niagara Falls again (see previous GWL post  here ) a couple of days ago for some R&R. If it was up to the kids, we would live here forever! Admittedly, even as an adult, I wouldn't mind living in a place like this:P  These ones were taken the next day, before leaving to cross the border to do some US shopping:) Best.Shot.Ever. Have a great Thursday, everyone:)

Rave: China Glaze

Image
As I have mentioned before, I rarely get to do my nails nowadays. Being a mom and always running around and such, my nail polishes never last, so I always think, why even bother? The brand China Glaze, however, is one kick-ass brand of polish because I find it lasts on my nails longer than the rest, even with all the dishwashing and scrubbing that I do. The polishes are also reasonably priced...win-win, right? (This is not a sponsored post...just saying...:)) China Glaze in Japanese Koi  Do you guys like China Glaze? What is your fave polish brand?

Ladybug

Image
I love the colour combination of red and black because it reminds me of Francis from A Bug's Life, which is one of my all-time favourite Pixar movies! Nicole Miller cardi, Wilfred top from Aritzia, H&M/Dragon Tattoo Collection pants, DV by Dolce Vita booties What is your favourite animated movie?

I must admit that the end of the London Olympics 2012 has left a void in me. Well, at least, I have this official Olympic hoodie to keep me company. Canada hoodie from The Bay, tank top from Topshop, pants from Target, Steve Madden booties Practicing our victory stance My photog for this post! Hope you all have a great Friday, and a great weekend ahead:)

I heart you!

This is a new fave shirt. Soft like it's been washed a hundred times, and it has hearts! Really...how can you go wrong with anything that has hearts? top from Urban Outfitters, no-name skirt I've had for about 12 years, Jeffrey Campbell Rumble booties Outtake:  Wishing everyone an awesome day:)

Blame it on the rain!

Image
It has been really rainy the past few days, which you think would be great after all the heat. Unfortunately, the rain makes the humidity much worse...sigh.... Old Navy dress, no-name wellies from Canadian Tire (I was waving at the kids who wanted to be in the pics,  of course!) Have a great Monday, everyone:)
