Obsession #59- Coats

 Well, it's starting to get colder here in our part of the world. Even though I'm more of a summer girl, one thing I do like about fall/winter is the being able to wear coats:)

Ones I recently tried:

Sam Edelman coat at The Bay

from UNIQLO
Honestly, I probably won't be buying a new one for this season as I love the Calvin Klein one I got last year, but I am kinda itching to sew one, so who knows...

Oh, I love his expression on his face. It makes me think of my own Hubby when I go out shopping for a coat..like "Not another coat, Babe..please!" Honestly, though I am pretty hot natured when it comes to winter. Yet, I have that fallish lite weight coat (which will last me til way in December) Then the parka which might as well be a sleeping bag for January. I haven't bought one in ages. Generally, when I do it's during the late spring when it's on clearance. Although, I have done some granny stripe hats. I wish I was just more satisfied with the pattern. Recently, a patron from the library saw me out and about with an ombre one from some baby yarn I had. And she loved it. So I made her one, too.

I had my flu shot/Covid Booster combo this weekend. I am glad I had the whole weekend to rest.

LOL at your photo bombers. It is still 90 degrees here in Texas so not coat time anytime soon but I love both of those options!

That camel coat is such a classic wardrobe staple that you can't go wrong with even if you got it but I can see you totally rising to challenge of sewing your own. I'm pretty much set with my outerwear so I'm not looking for anything new right now but I can still browse right ;p Love your photo bombers! Your Mini Me is like your height now wow! And your hubby's expression is totally hilarious :D My husband likes to act like he's about to bite me when he makes appearances in my photos LOLZ

Both of those coats are super cute! I especially love the first one. It's amazing how quickly the weather started to turn. I'm more of a fall/winter person than a summer person, so this is somewhat exciting for me. I haven't purchased a new winter coat in years and years and years. It's so hard to splurge on something like that until my existing coats become totally destroyed. (I always hold onto things for way too long!)

They are both nice coats but that first one is my favourite! I know you will have fun sewing one this season if you decide to though! It will turn out perfectly, your amazing creations always do :)

I like that Sam Edelman! I just purchased a jacket by Sam Edelman. I love coats & jackets. We don’t get to wear them very often here due to the heat. Always love your husbands expressions:D

The latest item I finished knitting: the Waiting For Rain shawl:) Love how this turned out, you guys:) The yarn was really lovely to work with (Kaleidoscope) and the pattern was easy to follow. Now that it's getting colder again, a knitted shawl is always handy to have:D It's just the right length, and it sits nicely on the shoulders. I know a lot of people don't like wearing leggings as pants. I'm not one of those people. (I do have a rule that the top has to be long enough to cover your butt.
