Currently loving #56

This year, I decided to read a lot more than previous years. It's been a great start to the year so far, so yay! (If you're on Goodreads, here's my account:)

Anyhoo, I decided to get a new Kobo (my old one broke around 2015....LOLZ), and man, it's been such a game changer! It definitely increased my book-reading mojo. Plus, it's so easy to borrow books from the library using Overdrive!

It's a Kobo Clara 2E

Personalized my cover with stickers. Can you guess from what TV show that pineapple one refers to? Hehe

I still, however, love to buy physical books. The ones below are the recent acquisitions. Have read most of them already:D
(The Devil of Nanking and Book of Night were two books I borrowed from the library but ended up buying my own copies coz I loved them so much!)
And can you guess who my current fave authors are? LOLZ

Here we are buying more books:D

What are you reading currently?

You are doing fine. Nice reading goal. This year I decided to do a few more things than writing down a lot and not being able to do them.

Good for you Emmy! Reading is such an enjoyable way to pass the time and discover new worlds. I'm also an avid fan of the library as I remain committed to minimalism and reducing clutter. I'm in between books right now but I'm planning to start Lisa See's The Island of Sea Women soon. Last year I probably sold more books than I bought hehe ;p I get wanting to have copies of ones that you really love though. Omigosh your Mini Me is taller than you now? Wowza! Happy new week and happy reading chingu <3

I have been trying to read more but I am not succeeding. I am so busy and have next to no downtime to read. I did read Grace Coddington's book and I want to read Come Fly With Me. Glad you got a new device and I had no idea you could borrow books this way wow.

Reading kid books, my son is finally getting interested in story time
It is so wonderful that you've been able to prioritize reading lately! There is nothing better. I don't have an e-reader myself, but my dad has one and loves it. It's great that you can download books from the library really easily. I LOVE how you decorated yours with stickers. It looks great! I keep hearing wonderful things about Colleen Hoover but haven't read anything from her yet. I will have to add some to my reading list!

I use goodreads too! I don't get the friends part of it though, haha! I just use it to keep track of the number of books I've read over the years, and when I find a book I really loved it has good recommendations for others I might like :)

I don't have an e-reader but these past few years I've really gotten back into reading and have taken out so many books from the library! I have a big list of want to reads on goodreads, and as you are allowed 20 requests at a time at the library I go and request based on that new list every now and then :)

Great to see you guys shopping for books! I really love having my Libby App from the library to check out books that way. Of course, I do like to get my hands on new releases too. The problem, when you do check them out from the library, is keeping up with them. Funny there was this book JOAN (about Joan of Arc) that not only did I almost lose but another patron did too. I have noticed we keep losing THE GIFT too.

Hope your April is going well and May will be blessed too. All the best to your reading goals.
Emmy, I’ve always been back and forth as to get an ereader. I think I’m going to get one soon. I no longer want a pile of books. Plus, I’m going to do like you. I’m only going to keep books that I want to read over and over again. Love how you decorated your e-reader. Very cool stickers. But I wouldn’t expect anything less :)
