My current makeup routine

Image
My original plan was to do a short video showing how I do my no-makeup makeup look for everyday, but alas, I didn't have the chance to do so, so I thought I'd just share the products I use. Overview of everything I use after my skincare routine : 1) For the face: RCMA concealer (CS2) and foundation (Shinto 2), or the Missha Magic Cushion on some days when I really want to pack on the SPF 2) Blush I use the Julie Hewett Cheekie in Peachie as a base, then either the MAC blush powders in the ZPalette, or the Hourglass Ambient Strobe Lighting Blush palette 3) Powder to set everthing Using my Holy Grail Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette 4) Final Steps Using the powders from the Kevyn Aucoin Palette for my eyebrows, and also for contouring/highlighting when I'm in the mood Lash Booster Waterproof mascara from Pixi by Petra SunBum SPF30 lip balm Do you wear makeup everyday? PS My daughter, however, had the time to do this short vlog:D

But it's not Valentine's Day!

I really love red and pink together. They're definitely non-neutrals, but they add such a nice pop of colour, especially on drab and dreary days. Do you like this colour combo?

The Ebony tee

Image
The latest item I've sewn...a cropped tee shirt using Ebony from Closet Case Patterns . I love this pattern, you guys...so much so I've already made two. Super easy to make and perfect for the warmer weather that I'm hoping will come soon. (I didn't know I was photobombed again until I saw the pics later on...sigh....) Ebony cropped tee #1 with Calvin Klein pants and Timberland booties Ebony cropped tee #2 with American Eagle jeans and Vans slip on This pattern has a dress and tunic versions, which I also will probably be making. Stay tuned:D

It's all downhill from here.

I am tagging this post under "outfits", but really, it's just my regular clothes. I know I'm not much of a fashion blogger, as I don't really buy a lot of new clothes/shoes/accessories, nor am I sponsored. One thing I can guarantee you, however, is that everything I wear/make in this blog is honest-to-goodness stuff I wear in daily life and not just for blogging purposes. I hope one thing I can impart in this tiny webspace of mine is that being a mom doesn't mean you have to look and act a certain way. We can be adults and still have fun. old sweater from Universal Studios LA, jeans from urban Outfitters, North Face jacket, Vans sneakers  It's actually still too cold, and there was still snow when we went to this skate park, so we couldn't actually ride around there. Good thing is that there's a basketball court right beside it that was nice and dry. I'm by no means good, you guys, but skateboarding is really a fun activity I highly r...

March Break 2017

Image
We're still in the middle of spring break for the kiddos, but I thought I'd just share some pics of what we've been up to:) Niagara Falls (Clifton Hill) Great Wolf Lodge The drive home...yup....We got caught in the snow storm that swept the northeast. The boys and I also watched Kong: Skull Island. image from cineplex.com Short review: Highly recommend. A fun watch with great special effects. I really loved the cast as well. Anything with John Goodman and Samuel L. Jackson is a win for me:D How's your week so far? Have you seen the movie?

They're coming.

"Oh my sweet summer child, what do you know about fear? Fear is for the winter, when the snows fall a hundred feet deep. Fear is for the long night, when the sun hides for years and children are born and live and die, all in darkness. That is the time for fear, my little lord, when the white walkers move through the woods." - Game of Thrones, Season 1 I am so over this cold winter, guys, but alas....Mother Nature has something else in mind. It is the beginning of March Break for the kids, and of course, there's more snow that's supposed to come. old sweater from Aritzia, H&M shirt, BDG pants from Urban Outfitters, Vans sneakers I just recently found this sweater after being in the basement for forever. Thank you, KonMari, for making me tidy up, organize and re-discover old favourites:D

New in...board set up

Image
Since spring is coming soon (which means summer is around the corner, right), I thought it was time for a new skateboard set-up....bwahaha! Thank you to my sponsor, G-Dog (aka my husband). Shout out as well to Hammer Skateboard  for a great and professional service (and also for the free sticker and DVD :D) I'm not gonna go into details of what I got (but of course you may contact me if you are interested) , but you have to agree this deck is super cute, right?!?! Girl x hello Sanrio Brandon Biebel deck Setting it up: And here's the finished skateboard....weeeeeee! I rode it briefly, and I'm loving it already! It's gonna be gnarly once I break them in. Now, if only it would stop being cold over here...sigh....

Waiting for spring

Image
I'm going to be very Canadian today and complain about the weather again. Guys, we just had a brutally cold weekend over here....I can't even! (Yes...it was snowing when these were taken...sigh...) TenTree hoodie, Evil Twin jeans from Urban Outfitters,Adidas sneakers, hat I knitted awhile back NB: I don't wear jackets in most of my outfit pics, only because there's only one or two I always wear. I don't walk around in winter just in hoodies...just saying.... Obligatory pose with the daughter: She's wearing a pinafore dress I sewed using a pattern from the Japanese pattern book Girls Style Book . She likes any dress with pockets (like mommy), so she loves this one:D Because of the cold weather, all outdoor activities are inside for now....huhuhu... On another note, let me just freak out for a moment as I share this: Rei Shito actually saw my post about her and re-tweeted it! Wut?!?!? #DayMade And also on another note:it was my hubby...
